Re: Tank World Order
Really good tank game tonight. Baynes is the new commander judging by Siakams bounce back the last two games. But we still manage to lose. Just out talented most nights, plain and simple.

Re: Tank World Order
Solid win for us tonight. And to think we haven’t even faced really talented teams yet. We can have a very bad record by the end of the month.

Enjoy the tank. Embrace the tank. Clean the entire slate for the next 2 years. I want some Chet or Emoni too.

well its that hope right? with a first pick we can get anyhting, maybe get the next luka that sets us up for years whereas, winning in the regular season only to know we get ousted early isnt fun. thats why after 2015, when i realized no changes, kina lost interest in raptors. still waatched but knew we had no chance with that core/casey.
with tanking, the possbility of failure is high but theres also a chance no matter how small it ends up working for us like it did philly. With winning with this roster, the end result is the same. max 2nd round.

salivating at the thought of adding Cade Cunningham to this lineup. a 6'8 game changer who'd push FVV, Pascal and OG all down a rung to where they belong on the ladder + max cap space for Masai to work his magic. Keep the tank going boys!

Is it wrong to get a little bit more excited with every loss.

Not at all.
Getting an impact prospect this year and next and dealing away vets/this subpar core for assets will be an intentional step back that will save the next 10+ years of Raptors basketball.
It's honestly sad that people think a 7th/8th seed first round exit core is building some sort of culture that matters.

Totally agree, there's no point in being first round food or just missing the playoffs and getting like the 16th pick or something...if we're gonna suck then might as well suck hard.

I’ll be patient with Masai this year, because he could have planned this stealth tank. But he better outline a plan for this team soon, and he best not whiff next year.
I still think we suck right now because Masai screwed up several times this past offseason, but he got us a championship so he gets some credit to work with for a while.

Re: Tank World Order
Anyone who thinks this record will continue over the course of the season and actually get us a top 5 pick - keeping in mind they have specifically flattened the odds to prevent tanking - would be terribly disappointed if we kept on the same course because we'll end up with the 10th-14th pick in the draft and these same people will then get upset when we don't get a perennial all-star at that slot.

You think Baynes is a tank commander? Just wait until McCaw comes back.

As long as we are bottom 4 by the end of the year, we will have an equal chance (14%) to land the 1st overall pick. If we are bottom 2, the worst pick we can get is the 6th pick. And if we are the worst team, we are guaranteed a top 5 pick.
