Funny how for me, RJ and IQ have swapped places in terms of who I like for our team lol

I honestly didn't want RJ and thought IQ would help the team and it's been the opposite...RJ has improved significantly as a player overall imo and maybe IQ was just taking advantage of bench units in NY but he just seems "regressed" from what I thought he was with the Knicks. He doesn't even look like a 6th man spark plug anymore tbh. He just seems kinda average, pretty disappointing. I'd really love for him to catch fire and prove me wrong.

This is what is frustrating about Scottie. In a game where he isn't doing much offensively, he's not making an impact defensively either. He should have plenty of energy to expend on that end.

He puts up stats in losses, can't put a team on his shoulder when they are struggling and need leadership

You're suggesting we would rather lose a "good" player than just bench RJ and his 30m "untradeable" contract?

Benching him doesn’t stop us from losing talent because we have overpaid players. The bigger issue is what Ingram, IQ, Scottie, and Barrett are making collectively, it doesn’t leave much room to add players at a position of need, or keep players coming off their rookie deals. To get back to the original point, this is why I didn’t agree with the Ingram trade.

You can not agree with the trade, but pretending like we are "losing" good players because of it is silly. If Ochai was actually "good" and we think he is part of the future, we would make the moves necessary to keep him especially with RJ being an expiring next season.

It isn’t just about Ochai, he’s just one example. What if Sandro really works out and is in line for a significant raise? Can we keep him? Or does another team with more flexibility outbid us? You’re being willfully blind on the implications of having an expensive top heavy roster with players that don’t necessarily complement each other.
