Want nothing to do with Gasol anymore. If we were to trade with Lakers, it will be a 3 team trade.

I love Jose but I really think now is the time to cash out and get whatever we can. I like the Charlotte-Toronto trade if Rudy Gay does not work out.

As much as I love Jose, the Charlotte trade does make sense for us.

Jose + Bargs + Fields for Biyombo + Sessions + Gordon + Diop

Lowry - Sessions
Gordon - Ross
DeRozan - Anderson
Davis - Amir
JV - Biyombo

This trade nets us to nice young pieces in Sessions and Biyombo, gives us a 2014 expiring in Gordon that will be desirable and unloads Bargnani.

I've read several times that the Charlotte Trollcats are willing to trade their 2013 pick (very weak class + team doesn't need more unproven youngs). Somebody in for any of those trades?

- DeRozan + Calderon for Ben Gordon + Bobcats' 2013 pick (top-3 protected)

or

- Demar for Ilyasova + Bucks' 2014 pick (unprotected)
- Bargs + Kleiza for Green & Courtney Lee + 2013 pick

OKC has that pick. Dallas is a great destination for our PGs but they have nothing to offer.

It's top 20 protected though, which means Dallas is likely to keep their 2013 pick. At that point, could Dallas be allowed to trade their pick?

On draft day, but not before. I guess they may still want to make that trade then, but I thought you meant for a playoff run this year. We would have to get into a future pick situation - and who knows what they Mavs will look like in the next couple years with the "bank of Cuban" open.

Man, OKC is in about the greatest position one could hope for in the salary cap age.

^Yup Greg I was referring to making that trade on draft night. I'd think, unless the new GM is someone experienced or Stefanksi, we're probably going to try to accumulate as many pick(s)/young talent as possible.

The trade would be legal.

How can Charlotte trade a pick that's already held by Chicago?

The bobcats are supposedly 'active' in trade talks. Anyone think they'd go for a Kemba <---> DeRozan type deal?

I still like the Calderon, Bargs trade better then going after Kemba.(dont think they do it.)

To Charlotte:
Calderon, Bargs, Gray, Anderson, 2nd
To Toronto:
Gordon, Biyombo, Sessions, Diop

Pg- Lowry/Sessions

Sg- Gordon/Ross

Sf- Derozan/Fields

Pf- Davis/Biyombo

C - Val/Johnson

I think someone already posted this lineup but I really like it,
lots of guys who can defend and score.. And 4 bigs who rebound
the ball.

Charlotte trades!

Here's some stuff I don't like: Calderon, DeRozan, Bargnani, Kleiza
Here's some less bad stuff: Sessions, Gordon, Thomas, Henderson

Two horribles teams shuffle the deck! Because why not. It might be hard to get Charlotte to agree to that though, unless they actually like DeRozan and Bargnani, which would be inexplicable.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bcnewg7

Here's how I'd try to sell it:

-Bargnani is clearly better than Tyrus Thomas, and has a similar contract! Win for Charlotte
-Calderon lets you clear out Ben Gordon's salary! Yay!
-Calderon can replace Sessions for the rest of the year, and then you can try to solve your PG spot in the offseason! The Kleiza money is even with the Sessions money so it doesn't hurt you financially at all to do this particular swap.
-You get a "core piece" going forward in DeRozan, and don't need to worry about Henderson's restricted free agency. After all, you might lose Henderson for nothing if some crazy person overpays! (like BC is prone to doing)

Walker
DeRozan
Kidd-Gilchrist Taylor
Bargnani Warrick
Biyombo Haywood
(Mullens RFA)

Draft Nerlens Noel (or whoever), and try to put your $20 million or so in cap space to good use! That's a good plan, right? Right? Right.......?

Then we'd have

Lowry Sessions Lucas
Ross Gordon
Fields (Henderson)
Davis Thomas Acy
Valanciunas A.Johnson Gray

We could proceed to trade stuff for picks and focus on the 2014 draft! Yeah! Then Val, Davis, Ross, and our new 2014 picks could form a fun core to move forward with. Yes.

In what universe, do Bargs and DeMar net that much value? I'd be happy if DeRozan can get us a cheap role player.

I still think the best deal for both sides is ( Memphis and Toronto):

DeRozan /Calderon/ filler

for

Rudy Gay /filler

I dont see why either side would say no.

Exactly one month til the trade deadline. Will Bargnani be traded? I HIGHLY doubt it. He hasn't played for more than a month now and I think that's a huge impact on the possibility of a trade.

Anyways, any of y'all think we'll be involved in any trades?

DD for Tyreke Evans
Jose + Kleiza for Rudy Gay + Bayless
Bargs for McGee

Then you have one of the most athletic group of players in the league. :D :P

Bargnani is back practicing so he will probably back in the line up in the next week or 2, plenty of time to show teams he can play. My concern is Jose; his stock is at the highest; hate to see him get injured and us losing our chip. I say cash out ASAP.

Yeah I still don't think we will be trading Bargs by the trade deadline, but I could see him being moved around draft day. The worse thing that could happen in the next 3-4 weeks is Jose going down. I hope Collonjello doesn't F up.

1. Trade DeMar for LA's first rounder (unproteced) that Phoenix holds
2. Try to Land Z-Bo or Gasol. Ideally give up Amir + Jose.
3. Try to land anything for Bargnani that is a positive contributor. Give up anyone but Val (Ross) to get that. Perhaps Iguodala or Gallo for Bargnani + Ross

Roster for 2013:

Starters:

Lowry
Alan Anderson
Gallo or Iggy
Z-Bo or Gasol
Val

Bench:

JLIII
Fields
Acy
Potentially Ross or Ed if they aren't dealt.

Plus LA's first rounder.
