You want the BPA at #20 and to me that will probably be Adreian Payne. Either you keep Patterson and play Payne as a 5 or let Patterson walk.
Lowry / Vasquez
DeRozan
Ross
Johnson / Patterson
Valanciunas / Payne
then you draft a wing at #37 and fill out the rest in FA

How about asking for some actual basketball skills. Ranking prospects based solely on physical measurements is a quick way to draft a bust.
Don't get me wrong, I like the potential of Inglis. But he is not going to be draft at #20.
Agreed. I love Inglis' potential but at #20, he's a massive reach. I think we gotta take a skilled guy at #20 (Payne, Payton, Anderson, Hairston etc) and leave the gem mining til the second round.

How is Inglis a massive reach and Capela isn't?

DraftExpress
What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

So do the Raps have any intention of interviewing Payne? Bringing him in to work out? I think he is BPA at 20. However, maybe the Raps have every intention of keeping Patterson and they don't want a Patterson like player at 20 without experience. I have no issue with a Payne and Young or Payne and Stokes draft. Would love to see us bring PK Tucker home.

I don't think Inglis will be considered a reach at 20 by the time the draft rolls around. Ujiri has also shown a tendency to take risks and go off board on draft night. He reached for Fournier. Faried wasn't really a reach, but was a small conference player and that carries risk. I think Ujiri is more likely to go off board and grab a player he likes than just take the best available. I'm not saying that Inglis is his guy, but he definitely fills a lot of needs and has the potential to be the BPA @20 and that's all anyone should care about.

Is it just me or does Kyle Anderson look like an evil, heavier Steph Curry?

Explain why Inglis is not a skilled guy when you have Anderson there. Why Inglis process similar skill set to Anderson, and Anderson can be the better guy?

Worse case scenario: Al-Farouq Aminu
Best case scenario: Al-Farouq Aminu with offensive game (which would be an all-star caliber?)
Aminu http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Al- ... minu-1293/
Inglis http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Damien-Inglis-6428/
TWO very very similar players
Am I the first to make this comparison?
Inglis is nothing like Aminu. He has ballhandling and passing skills. Jerami Grant is much more similar to Aminu - a very athletic, long player with no SF skills when entering the league.

Stop falling for the obsession of drafting small forwards. Who has the best skills package positions 1 through 5 and is likely available at 20? What mock out there shows us taking Inglis at 20? Is there someone out there with insider knowledge with solid info that we should be aware of?

How does your comment relate to my post? The poster I quoted was suggesting that Inglis is like Aminu, which he isn't, and I merely pointed that out. How does that qualify as obsessing about drafting a small forward?

Anyone else think that Massai is looking to move down in to the #21-#30 range and pick up a early-mid second rounder?
Jazz: #23 and #35
Hornets: #24 and #45
Rockets: #25 and #42
Maybe multiple 2nd rounders:
Bucks: #31/#36/#48
76ers: #32/#39/#47/#52/#54

But what if you factor in his age and lung issues? That detracts from him being the best prospect available. He might just end up being a 2nd PF off the bench..which is nothing to write home about.

That's possible, but I doubt Masai lets any of our FAs walk (namely Vasquez and Patterson) even if we decide to go in another direction. I'd expect him to re-sign them and trade them during the season to get some value back.

Well Gordon isn't gonna play huge minutes from the get go and IMO hell be able to play and guard okay enough at the 3 spot (MKG does it, doesn't he?). Big lineups with him JV and Patterson will still spread the floor cuz of Pat, but Gordon will give a big boost on the boards.
Either way, I don't think we have the assets to grab Gordon without giving up a valuable piece from our core. If all it takes is Salmons + 20th pick + 2016 NY First to grab a top 10 pick, then sure I'd be all over it.
Why wouldn't mkg be able to guard the 3? He's always been a perimeter player and can be put on NBA point guards for crying out loud. Where's the comparison with Gordon?
Yeah my bad, I was comparing the two offensively, as MKG has a really bad jumper and unremarkable handles, but he is still able to play the 3 full time despite not being much of a scoring threat (ala Gordon). Defensively, obviously MKG is the quicker of the two, but I think Gordon has enough ahtleticism and quickness to do a fine job at covering most 3's (not to mention he's only 18 and has leaps and bounds to grow).

Gordon and MKG have similar measurements. In shoes, Gordon has an inch on MKG but the wingspan of both players are identical. Athletically speaking, Gordon tested better than MKG. It's a tough call but I am opening up to the comparison of MKG and Aaron Gordon.

Difference between MKG and Gordon is that MKG moves a lot more fluidly running and changing directions. Gordon is stiff when he moves. He doesn't really glide when he lead/push dribble.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I'm playing Gordon as a PF in the NBA, there's no way I'd put him at the SF spot. I think if you put him at SF you'll end up with a worse version of Derrick Williams, which is REALLY horrible.

with our last pick we should draft S. Bulhar. He will be a tremendous shotblocker with that size!
