Our advantage is that we can offer him 5 years instead of 4, which we haven’t shown to be willing to do (or else he would have signed it already).

If I'm the Sixers I try to get him now to make sure he resigns there. Doesn't matter if he's over paid in years 3-5. Pay him and Harris and all the tax money on the world and put out Embiid, Harris, Siakam and Maxey as your starting lineup for next 5 years. Even with Harris and Siakam regressing, they'll still be championship material, if anything cause of all the length beside Maxey and Embiid

The sixers have already indicated that they’re not trading for Siakam, they can outright sign him this upcoming off season without having to give up assets in a trade.

They would have to let Tobias walk to open up the amount of capsapce needed to sign Pascal, to they'll be giving up assets regardless if they opt for max FA

If the deal really was around Barnes it would done already.

Not a chance we trade OG for IQ and RJ then trade Siakam for Barnes as a centerpiece.

US media spouting garbage because once again, they can't get info from TOR.

Can’t come fast enough. So over waiting for something to get done with Pascal. Feels like this has been going on for two years almost.
What's the hurry. Masai just proved that patience is a virtue by seeing what we got for OG. Couldn't have worked out better. Frankly I'm not too enamored with the trade packages that I'm seeing. Unless I'm seeing Keegan plus drafts picks I'm ain't interested. I'm in no hurry to trade Pascal for gleague players and bad picks from the celtics etc.

I’m happy for Masai to get the best package….i think all of us are…that’s not the point. It’s just kinda exhausting and I think it’s fair for fans to look forward to February when this is hopefully all done.

Could be wrong but don’t they have a projected 70 million in free cap space next offseason? I feel like if they wanna keep Harris they can make it work somehow.

Keegan is overrated as eff

I was watching the kings telecast and their commetators celebrated the fact that it was first time all season Keegan had TWO dunks in a game.

He seems incredibly one dimensional.

I mean, he is a primarily 3 point shooter. Dunking is not exactly that big of a deal for him.

But FWIW - Scottie is the only guy we have averaging more than 1 dunk per night

Barnes is the popular name but it was likely, barnes, huerter, mitchell and picks. Masai probably asked for like 2-3 unprotected's because the player package is dogwater.

Cade is out for an extended period of time.

Pistons will no longer be buyers at the deadline.

One less suitor for Siakam.

I still think Gores makes some move at the deadline that signals to fans they want to win. Pascal or otherwise.

Sounds to me like the Raptors are basically waiting for one of these rumoured teams to give in and include the young player Toronto wants (e.g., Keegan, Johnson, etc.).

Unless those guys hit a bad slump in the next month (or unless Siakam agrees to a wink-wink deal to re-sign with the acquiring team), I really think JJ and Keegan Murray are off the table. Guys like Nembhard, Walker etc. just seem more attainable.

Personally, I'd thrown in a 2026 FRP, Gradey Dick and whatever else the Hawks want to get JJ.

- Bulls apparently aren't planning on undergoing a rebuild. If Colby-DeRozan-Siakam-Vuc work, then great! If not, Bulls end up with a ton of cap flexibility and get rid of LaVine's toxic contract.

- LaVine wants to play for the Lakers.

- Raptors get exactly what they're looking for - two young players with a ton of upside (similar to Quickley + RJ)

I don’t understand the purpose of trading Siakam anymore. Age players primes are going very long if they are taking care of themselves and avoiding injury. Siakam is doing both. Siakam has played less hoop than the average nba player of his age considerably because of when he started playing serially. Pascal might still be better than Keegan Murray is 3 years.

Who says Keegan Murray isn’t just Tobias Harris? Siakam is all nba right now

Reasons for trading Siakam include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following:

1) Thinking he won’t re-sign so getting something for him now.
2) Thinking he won’t re-sign unless it is a 5 year max contract and not wanting to give him that for various reasons.
3) Thinking he and Scottie can’t work together because they are too similar.
4) Thinking that a team built around Barnes-Quickley team can’t happen while Pascal is here.
5) Thinking it is better to use him to acquire assets that address roster gaps (and gain draft picks) rather than re-signing him.

Does it makes us better? Who becomes a starter to replace PS?
