We need to stay in the top 5.

1. Cooper Flagg
2. Dylan Harper
3. Ace Bailey
4. Kasparas Jakucionis
5. Tre Johnson

These players will make an impact in year 1. Everyone else seems to be a project.

Is he a very athletic Christian Laettner with bigger wingspan?

Rich man's Franz Wagner on defense, poor man's Franz Wagner on offense

Maybe but he's still almost 2 year younger than when Franz was at Michigan.

Franz is taking a lot of shots like Banchero so almost 25ppg but his split is only 46/32/88. I could see Flagg catching up maybe not over 85% FT, but sure the rest.

Chaz Lanier would likely help a contender like a Buddy Hield.

This is my pick for who ends up being the guy that people overthought being good in the NBA. Numbers are insane and he has size. Would love to see him as a Raptor

Uhhh, why white comparisons? Poor man's Lebron is probably the best comparison I can think of.

I guess Lebron but who else besides him? Banchero? I did make a Blake Griffin comp before.

I would probably prefer the Blake Griffin comp. Flagg doesn't have LeBron's fluiditity/dexterity. He's got more of a Blake Griffin type of athleticism/physical tools package - great vertical, but also doesn't have great wingspan nor large hands. Better footwork and lateral quickness than Blake though. There's never a perfect comp...

Flagg JUST turned 18 too. He can't even legally drink in Toronto when drafted, until Dec 21.

I'm thinking a cross between Franz and Paolo. Cooper's size and defensive potential is similar to Franz. His ability to create his own shot and pass is similar to Paolo. However...at this stage...Flagg doesn't shoot as well as Franz and Paolo.

LeBron is an athletic and physical freak...and that isn't Cooper.

I think we need to study, how Orlando is good.

Early in the season, it was easy to see Franz and Banchero where beasting. Now they are both out they continue to hold the fort. Their coach should be COY. Heck, even CoJo burned us 3 for 5 from deep.

I think their size was a factor. Tristan DaSilva is a great addition and Jonathan Isaac is actually healthy and signed to a long-term contract that is appropriately sized due to injury history. KCP and Goga Bitadze are great solid additions.

After the Orlando loss...this isn't a talent issue...it is coaching. Darko is a here strictly for development and losses.

We should not be getting shelled by an Orlando team that is missing Franz, Paolo and Jalen Suggs...period...full stop.

This team is too talented even without RJ playing to be losing to a Magic roster missing its 3 best players.

Anyone starting to feel a bit underwhelmed with this draft outside the top 4-5? For a supposed amazing draft, I feel many are undersized. Bigs aren’t really putting up great block and rebound numbers, a lot of top guards are shooting low 30s in 3 pointers and are a bit smaller than what you normally want.

While the games against the Knicks, Cavaliers, Celtics and Magic are almost guaranteed to end up in the loss column, those against Milwaukee (x2), Atlanta (x2), Detroit, and Golden State could end up being wins when you consider those teams have a combined record of 70 wins and 68 losses and a win rate of just over 50% on the season thus far.

Assuming we're able to win half of these winnable games we could end up with a record of 3-7 over the next 10 games, but that would likely be the best-case scenario and still not enough to change the course of the path we're on this season as the trade deadline draws closer and we consider selling off our assets to those teams looking to make a splash in the playoffs this year.
Raptors record prediction: 45-37 (6th place in the East)

Hes the one in the top 5 im a little worried about in terms of superstar potential.....I seen too many times players with the lack of speed/athletic ability have great college years but take a big step back in the NBA....But maybe his size can help him....Still would take Harper 10/10 over this guy but if im in the top 5 i think there might be better options....Id only want Jak if i fall to 6-7 and hes there to take.

Yes.

This year still much better than last year, especially at the top, but overall excitement is wearing off.

I also wish to retract two hot takes on the draft

1) Harper is off the DND list. He’s hitting his 3s now and I didn’t realize how terrible his team is outside Ace, so that explains the low assist numbers.

2) Mgbako ain’t going lottery. Thought he was going to break out after hot start. He has not.
