Linas Kleiza is a good player and we need shooters but i dont see how the 4 year contract fits into our plans. hes not exactly young either.

hopefully Denver matchs this

I haven't seen Kleiza play since his Denver days but he was who I wanted to get if we couldn't get Turk.. Shoots the 3 well, can put the ball on the floor and just in general brings a lot of energy... With all that being said I'd still rather have Beasley.

He's 25. just before or in his prime for the whole deal and expires before turning 30.

Why doesn't this GM just let the young guys split time at the guard positions? Did they really have to give another role player a 4 year deal worth $5 million a season? I really have no idea which direction this franchise is going.

Ughhhh, I don't like Kleiza. This doesn't give me much hope for next season.

25 years old is not young?
And he's not just a shooter he can slash the basket, he hustles, and he's a self-motivated type player which is very vital need in our young rebuilding team plus he's a winner just watch the playoffs Lakers against Denver you'll know what I mean.

Klieza vs. Turk for both of their last seasons in the NBA in games where they played 25minutes or more.

Klieza 08-09: 13ppg, 5.3rpg, 1apg, 3.5fta, 4.3 3pta, .375 3pt%, 1tov, 9.7fga
Turk 09-10: 12.75ppg, 5.3rpg, 4.5apg, 4.4 3pta, .375 3pt%, 2tov, 10fga

So 3.5apg and an extra turnover costs you 5mil a year? This is a very good backup 3/4 that can do a lot of things and this is a reasonable contract for the level of production he's capable of.

Yeah I've thought about it some more. Kleiza isn't that bad that all, he's kind of like the Jarrett Jack pickup last year. He could surprise us and earn his keep.

I dont mind the signing, as I do like the what Kleiza bringa. Let's see how the roster fits at the end... I am a little concerned about the lack of creating and ballandling at 2/3 if Kleiza were to replace Turk in the starting lineup and join Demar.

Kleiza is also a bit of a tweener 3/4. If we were going to spend the $5 Million I would have preferred it to be Beasley.
