Ahhh as expected all of the US media writing the Raptors off after last night's loss.
Some are saying the Celtics are the biggest threat now, some are saying the Heat, some are saying the 76ers.
No one is showing any faith in the Raps, but that's okay this is solid bulletin board material.
I got these videos saved. I look forward to revisiting them in May/June.

Lot of negative talk here. Raps forced Giannis to play his 2nd highest minute total this season. He hit 2 3's and 7 of 8 from the line. Offensively he was average at best and Siakam's offense basically cancelled him out. Bucks don't have a lot of shot creators off the dribble either. Really, these teams are fairly similar. Gasol & Norm will make a huge difference. Will allow them to go small at the 3 when we go to the bench. I want to see a lineup for brief stretch with Norm, Davis, Mr 99 on the floor at the same time. Bucks D give up 3's but you're going to pay with 3 40%+ 3 pt shooters against you plus Gasol is also shooting over 40%.

Bucks didn't impress me much, they're vulnerable. Their bench underwhelmed big time and that's going to hurt them.

Middleton has no handles.

Boston I can understand, anything else is absurd. Sixers stink, Heat are close but not much in the experience department.

These pundits are stupid and reactionary.

I thought we all learned from last year to chill on reacting to Regular Season results.

The Raptors showed a lot of good last night. The Bucks are a fantastic team!

I think Gasol and Norm make a huge difference.

I think the Heat are by far the most difficult matchup for the Bucks. Nobody can stop Giannis, but I don't think anybody in the league is better suited to slow him down straight up than Bam - plus they have no shortage of extra bodies to throw at him in Iggy, Jones, Crowder, Butler. They have knockdown 3-point shooters to take advantage of the Bucks over-protection of the paint. And most importantly, they have a guy in Butler who can close/steal games in the playoffs.

If banch players don't get chance now they will never get minutes when we have full seven healthy main guys.

you question coach who won it all missing 2 key players?

Agreed. I don't watch any of this crap anymore (or read other fourms comments on us). It's proved to be awesome because I simply don't care anymore, so I don't get pissed about it.

They wrote the Raptors off before the season even started treating them like the Lebron-less Cavs, and look what happened - 3rd best record in the league, 2nd best defensive team....that shows how much their opinions matter. The only american analysts you need to take seriously are guys like Zach Lowe, Tim Legler, Tim Bontemps

It'll be hysterical if we lose the final two regular season meetings against the Bucks and then still beat them in the playoffs. Which is what I fully expect to happen.
Nurse isn't gonna show the Bucks anything during the regular season. He's too smart of a coach to play all his cards in the regular season. Bud on the other hand has always been a regular season coach. He'll be outsmarted and ousted in the playoffs, once again, by Nick Nurse.

After Matt Thomas was hot as a firecracker in the first half,
it seemed like Nurse only played him for a minute or two in the second half.

I don't have exact amount, but not much.

The starters were generally poor throughout.. why not try the hot hands a bit more.

Just weird.

i think basically Nurse tried some things that definitely worked and then intentionally stopped doing them because he'd seen them work and didn't want to show too much. In the first half we shot tons of 3s and surely could have kept doing so, but in the second half it seemed like we were constantly trying to go inside, even though it wasn't working. why? I think Nurse wanted to see what would happen if we did so he could study the Bucks' responses and we could have tape of our guys trying stuff. winning was not the goal for him. learning was.

Nurse knows what is going to work. Bucks give up a ton of 3s and Matt Thomas is an elite 3 point shooter. I don't think Nurse cares about this win, considering Raps were in the game with basically their starting lineup playing like crap. Bucks fans seem arrogant and very high off this win, as they should, since this is the only thing they know - regular season wins. Bet you they were the same last year too when they defeated the Raps.

bud probably gave up his entire playbook to win this game. wait, he doesn't have one.

Nurse was definitely trying different things out. He even mentioned he'll try some new things next game against Milwaukee. Nurse looks unfazed about this game.

Question: They dropped the big so deep on the pick and rolls, sometimes you use it as a runway, sometimes you use it for a pull-up 3. Did you feel like you handled that defensive scheme well tonight?"
Nurse: Nope. We handled that really poorly.

See the answers from Nurse. This Raps squad with Nurse can adjust better than Bucks can. The games in the latter half of the regular season will benefit us more than them even if we lose all of them, because Nurse will evolve more than Bud.

However, I didn’t like the 4th when starters tightened up and got negative. Lowry’s emotions are infectious - he needs to stay focused to lead the rest. When he gets negative it is completely distracting.

Boston matches up terribly against the Bucks. Bucks would sweep Boston. C's could take out the raptors, but Raptors and the Sixers matchup alot better against the Bucks then the Celtics do.

i wasn't happy with the outcome but there's a few take away from that game. the best part is it's just another regular season game. tons of games left to adjust and prep for the playoffs. it's not every night FVV, KLow, Ibaka will a no show. Raptors fans are easily triggered and a lil bipolar. #chill

We lost 3 of 4 in the regular season last year and ended up beating them. It's hard to judge regular season games and make predictions based on them when there are so many variables in play.

I dont really care how well we do against them in the regular season anyways. We obviously wont be the favourites to win a series against the Bucks in the playoffs but we definitely have enough to beat them. We'll see what happens.

Cant wait until we force Bledose to shoot 3s and attack Brook/Robin heavy in PnR all game. This will only happen in the playoffs consistently.

I don't feel any different about our chances than I did before the game.

We made life difficult for Giannis (did he even get a dunk??), but shot poorly and had 15 less FTA.

Outside of the top 3 contenders (LAL, LAC and MIL), I feel we're firmly slotted in that 4th spot overall.

Edit: We also need to play Matt Thomas more. Man is a sniper.

That literally isn't happening, like at all. There is more than ESPN and pretty much none of the US media cared about anything other than LBJ vs Zion last night.
