DLo is more like a high level bench player than anything. its extreme take to say he's a garbage player considering the characters that donned a Raptors uniform last year you guys were cheering for.

That "Bet on Yourself" selfishness has played on the same team for 7 years and is universally respected around the league by both players and coaches. So he must be doing something right.

There is clearly a few things that NBA teams don't like about Russell which is why they are so eager to trade him. I'd stay away.

There are many guys who bounce around the league before finding the right situation. Who thought Lauri Markannen would be an all-star after being on 2 other teams?

Definitely but D’Lo has been in the league longer and the Cavs didn’t necessarily want to trade Markannen. They traded him so they could get a top 25 player.

D’Lo is traded because teams just don’t want him on their team. When you’re getting traded for a 36 year old Mike Conley then you’re not a good player.

I would much rather let Fred walk than take on DLo or Ball. No need to prove you got something for Fred when what your getting back is absolutely trash. That is just a BC thing to do.

DLo would have to be a player the team likes, so that is a fair question. He shoots threes at a good clip and has had one great season with Golden State when he played on a oiled offensive team, but struggled on a good defensive team in Minny. I do think he helped LA make the playoffs and a lot of the time either or both LBJ and Ad were out. But, let's say his poor defense doesn't jive with Toronto, so he is a 'no.'

If you let Fred walk then what? Scottie at PG full time, or would it be Banton/Flynn/Dowtin? None of that seems likely.

The other option is a mid-level exception. Maybe you could get Denis Schroeder (yuck) or Gabe Vincent (hard to see him leaving Miami). There just isn't a lot of viable PGs in that tier.

Re-signing Fred is the best option. It does get in the way of re-signing others like OG and Siakam in the future, but Toronto still has yet to pay the tax. The still won't this year, so there is time to get this sorted.

Fred not leading the league in minutes and running the court will help his efficiency. I really believe that. The next step if they re-sign Fred is to have accountability with him and the coaching staff finding minutes for other players.

I do think it is worth noting that Conley is the only PG that has played well with Gobert so far. You know Spida Mitchell hated him, and now DLo had similar challenges.

I don't think DLo was blamed as a bad player in Minny. They just had way too much change of roster to accommodate everyone, and I think Conley was an easy way to figure out how to use Gobert who they sold their future for.

Going to be a top 20 player this year with ease.

Still insane to me that he’s technically younger than Mobley, Cade and Scottie.

He needs to make a leap this year and get his team past the first round. He's got the talent to do it.

That’s how you know he’s got next.

Ain’t nobody talking players his age about how they have to lead them past the first round haha.

Hopefully he’s able to do that this year, needs to get a favourable seeding.

Hali, Edwards, and Shai are the three guys in the league where every time I watch them play I get excited like it’s the first time I’m seeing them. So impactful and aesthetically pleasing to watch as a basketball fan.

Feel the same way.

I really want to see SGA and Hali in a playoff context and see if they can elevate their games.

I have no worries with Ant on that end, he was able to go toe to toe with Jokic and Ja and hold his own.
