Ivisic at the 3. :D

Big Z would be a terrific get with the Portland second round pick (31-35).

But he's not a SF.

Sign me up for this...

Quickley/Shead
Barrett/Dick
Flagg/Walter
Barnes/Ivisic
Chomche

Z could be next year's Kel'el Ware. Z already had a better freshman year than Ware did. Ware got picked mid teens but with this being a good draft, likely early 20's he would go. Raptors should be able to get him with their pick.

Ibaka couldn't take it coast to coast like he did.

Joakim Noah had a big influence on Chomche. He said Noah told him no one should be playing harder than him on the court.

It's clear he can defend the perimeter after he cleans up his stance and continues to improve his conditioning. This means he could pretty easily slide in at the 4.

To counter against the lanky skilled bigs of the NBA we will need a twin tower defensive front court. A defensive C, Chomche, and Barnes would give us a top 5 defense in the league.

That's Koloko hopefully.

If you think about it. If this is a Bruno redux. Masai brought in Bebe as a mentor to Bruno. Arguably it backfired in terms of off the court stuff. But if he does the same Chomche and brings in a countryman to show him the ropes, then you've got Koloko who I've met and seems like a stand up guy. Not only that, he was showing signs of being one of the best rim protectors in the NBA.

I'm hoping that's the next domino to fall.

I fully accept I have a unreasonable amount of hype in this guy...

If his future is at center..if he can just grow a few inches... Guy could be an amazing player.

Yes I am getting carried away, but damn this kid has all the tools to be a star.

Meh, who cares! Be optimistic and excited. Life is too short.

It's definitely a great long shot at 57.

I don't think Koloko could hold his own against the bigger C's like Jokic/Embiid etc, unless he puts on a lot of weight. I like Koloko as a backup C, but we really need a stretch C or at least one with a solid offensive game. I know I shouldn't be, but I have hopes that this kid can be a massive steal.

Have you seen how Koloko looks recently? Post surgery he's lost at least 20lbs of healthy mass.

If he turns out, this will be the steal of the draft.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He needs to bulk up if he can ever be an actual defensive centre. He seemingly has the frame for it, just needs to get in the weight room.

Biyombo that's 2 inches taller, softer hands, soccer footwork, good passing big with 3pt shooting range?

If I were the raptors having just drafted Chomche and another team held all of Toronto's other picks this year, is crazy to say I don't think you trade any of them straight up for Chomche? Maybe I'm just not crazy about the others and selling myself on this guy.

Chomche was the special guest today at my kids' Raptors basketball camp. Many kids were expecting Scottie because they know he's in town this week so they appeared disappointed when he was introduced (and most didn't know who Chomche was). He was great today though - very interactive with the kids. He showed he has a very good handle for a big man (can go full court easily with no issues). Did a reverse dunk playing with 7-9 year olds. And is knowledgeable of the game, jokingly complaining to the ref why a foul wasn't called while he was watching from the bench.

He does not seem raw as some might think he is. Certainly not Bruno-level raw back then - he's way ahead of that so far. He just needs more real pro-level game reps. I'm not saying just because he was with kids today, but he's comfortable in these settings - unlike remember Bruno was scared just because Drake wanted to high five him. He doesn't act like he's 18.

Biyombo was heavier and a better defender.

Chomche seems to be closer to a Poeltl than Biyombo.

He needs to get waay stronger (normal for an 18 yo) to assert himself physically. Also, he should shoot like 300 3s a day.

This is the guy I was hoping to get this draft. I was sad when he returned to school. He'd be the PERFECT shot blocking stretch big with elite passing upside.

Yeah he had the best defensive rating in the entire league. Barnes, Chomche, Koloko would be insane.
