I don't see him as a bench player moving forward
he'll move back to bench once jakob comes back, but he'll definitely get minutes

Ya...he'll still easily get 30+ minutes per game as a backup 3/4/5. He's making a case as 6th man for this season and the ultimate utility guy.
And yes...he will finish a lot of games this season at the 5 over Jak. I'm not concerned about minutes or role for CMB.
I just love how he's able to rip the ball out of guys hands. He's very strong. Can't wait to see him after he adds the obligatory 15 lbs of muscle in the summer.

Start Battle over IQ.
It’s not like IQ is playing like prime CP3 lol. He’s doing basic stuff bringing it up the court, making the initial pass. Just have one of Scottie or RJ do that. The whole point of Quick was to have someone who can knock down shots. He’s too small to create space, Battle knows how to find his spots and is actually a damn good shooter. Not to mention not a complete pushover like IQ defensively and should make the starting lineup fairly switchable.
Ofc admittingly it’s incredibly unlikely that they’d have the balls to bench an overpaid guard they wanna validate for a guy who’s supposed to be end of rotation making peanuts but I honestly think it would be a good fit.

We need to find another word for perceived redundancy & fit as a negative, or at least not jump the gun or be so hesitant. Often times the redundancy/fit concerns turn into an identity/Vision/chemistry position positive. RJ + CMB were my focus there.
I really like CMB skillset and his versatility for us, real positive player
