This is not the signing I would whine about. It is better than the Amir signing.

Meh, it's all good. I don't think there's anything to look forward to. Hopefully, this doesn't add more problems for the future GM. There's no point getting all worked up over what BC does; he's become known for making bad moves.

Realistically, for all those of you saying we need a star player first, what star player is left out there for us to sign? David Lee?

And for those of you saying we need a full rebuild, is a 4/20 contract that much of a big deal?
Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise.

Seriously, from what I've gathered, the only people hating on this signing are BC haters, Racists, and those who haven't seen Kleiza play. Great signing imo, very similar to the Jack one last season.

Its non-guaranteed. I don't mind this

Colangelo has been wanting Kleiza for YEARS... I hope Linas doesn't forget how to play basketball once he arrives here

It's just a filler signing if you ask me. If Wright is gone and we luck out and trade Hedo we need another wing. Nothing wrong with this signing.

It's not that it's such a big deal, it's that it's a completely useless signing. This team is bad and by the time this team has the pieces and are ready to make the move to be a competitive team, Kleiza will be an expiring or even a free agent.

Consistency was his issue. But that may be because he was on a loaded team in Denver.
Not sure how he did last year however.
I like it. But lets see what else BC has up his sleeve before we determine if he "fits" or not.

He played for Olympiakos, the Euroleague finalist. Was a teammate of Childress.

As they are both SFs, who started?

That sums up 85% of this board.

This guy is just a solid rotation player. Get over it, we're not pulling in a star, were not making the playoffs but we are going to need rotation players. $5M /yr for an outright signing is actually reasonable for any player with a record of past production. Look at every other contract being given out.

Some haters will never be pleased unless Lebron would sign with the Raptors for 4/20.

He will be 29 and Amir will be 28 4 years later..obviously Kleiza will be part of our young gunz core. He might not be our starting SF sometime in the future, but at least a useful core nevertheless.

Or Maybe it's because this won't allow us to use a TPE if we get one via Bosh S&T... PLUS the fact it is less likely that we rebuild and stay a F*cking Treadmill team.

Hmm, so our core is composed of euro-leaguers and other teams' castaways... the future bodes well

Or maybe he plays up to expectations or better and makes himself a tradeable asset on a reasonable contract that whatever GM is here could potentially package him up for something of greater worth in a year or two.

Heck, what role player outside of Jose and Bargs (who were considered core) have made it past a season or two on this team with BC running the ship?

This board is borderline unreadable now.. people are so quick to cut down BC for ANYTHING he does.

I love how people's opinions change when they look at 1 highlight of Kleiza scoring 41, since everyone is making judgements before they even know who he is, or watch him play.

Arm chair GMs, thinking you can do better. We got a 25 year old tough, role player, who can shoot the 3 and take it to the basket. For less than half of what we're paying Hedo. How can you not like the signing.

I know that most of the uneducated fans are just bashing BC solely because Kleiza is a Euro.. well he played in the NBA, and did well.. and is the opposite of a 'soft' Euro.

I love this signing. If we aren't going to be very talented, we may as well have tough guys that play hard and are easy to cheer for.

He attended the same high school in Maryland as Kevin Durant did, played a much different game in college than he does now. He was a rebounding machine that could get to the line easily.

Also has ties to the Nuggets ownership; the Kroenkes are bigtime Missouri supporters. Missouri fans had a pretty good idea he was going to be a Nugget awhile before it happened; I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him a heads up on whether this would be matched or not.
