As someone who hasn't watched a lot of college ball this year, I'm curious, how are you guys tier-ing the top say 8 or 10 picks? At what point does the talent just drop off a cliff?

I continue to be dumbfounded at the undieing hype this guy receives. His team is very good and I just don't see the natural skills being #1 pick worthy.
I realize you are deeply confused and mistaken. Have you watched the first 8 games? He was finding open shooters, passing to the right people on fast break, dribble drive drawing another defender and passing to an open big man down low. He was doing alot of these sequences in those games. Don't tell me you base it on this and last game, he was coming back after few months, trying to ease his way back into the rotation, it's gonna take him time to get back to his play making ability. And for starter, please look at the elite scouting reports dude.
I watched Nolan Smith play point guard at a higher level than Irving for 20+ games, doing many of the ungodly things you talked about in your post.
Point is, Duke has a system that works. They have a point guard system that will always allow the point guard to put up stats, thanks to the high caliber of talent around them.

For Steely Reserve,
tier 1
1. Brandon Knight
tier 2
2. Perry Jones
3. Harrison Barnes
4. Jared Sullinger
tier 3
5. Derrick Williams
6. Enas Kanter
7. Terrence Jones
tier 4.
8. Jonas Valanciunas
9. Jan Vesely
10. Donut
As for me, all stays the same except Irving as tier 1 (number 1 pick)

LOL, Lebron-less Cavs fan, Nolan Smith plays like a shooting guard, he's good at slashing straight line to the bucket, and he'll drive and dish or pass to open man, no doubt he is capable of passing, but he doesn't have a PG ball-handling ability like Irving has.

But I'll let you all fawn over his every move. I'm a Cavs fan and they do the same thing. I just hope the GMs are smarter than the average fan.
I don't spend much time arguing with people who have no idea what they're talking about so consider this the last response you get from me. You are clearly in the minority when it comes to assessing Kyrie's talent, don't you think its possible that you indeed are the guy who is completely wrong and have a lot to learn?

Ask around, I certainly know what I'm talking about.
I don't need to review mock drafts or visit ESPN to form my own opinion. I go by what I watch with my own two eyes. And from what I see, Irving is a solid prospect but not one who is clearly better than the top seven or eight prospects in this draft. And to act like I'm offbase saying this only confirms you are a media-parrot who has have no idea what you're talking about.
No offense, just stating the truth.

For the record, I think Irving fits your team, although I would look at Sullinger if I were you guys. You all need a physical presence on the frontline. Drafting 6'1 point guards isn't going to help you in that area.

The Raptors DO NOT need Sullinger.

Sullinger with Ed Davis here? No. The Cavs need Sullinger more than Toronto.

Then the truth is, you and your eyes don't have a clue how to analyze a college game. And ask around, why don't you make a thread with voting option of Irving vs. the rest of the draft prospect. But don't bother, your thread will be teased by everyone

I wouldn't worry about it. Lets just hope this guy is the Cavs GM and passes on Irving so he can fall to us.

Low post offense is not a necessity to win, BUT it's not like a prospect has never been developed. Get how that works? When you draft a guy, he's not always a finished product.

Andrea has a post game and Ed Davis is a rookie so he still has time to develop a better post game
