But without the fatness. And wierdness. And he can actually shoot. But he doesn't have Davis's court vision. Not a great comparison IMO. I think Jay Williams and a more successful Jeff Teague are actually spot on, comparison-wise.

I don't want to get more excited about DL, but here's the latest and greatest.

He's the guy. Finally a player that can shoot the lights out, drop 20 on you, get into the lane. Jose Calderon ball is over folks. Let's just hope he can pass a bit out of a pick and roll, as he sure can shoot and drive off one by the looks of things.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Love him but he won't be there at 8. Seems to be on an upwards trajectory and could be gone a couple of picks earlier. Kinda reminds me of when we kept seeing mocks with the Raptors getting Ben Gordon and then with every day that passed you heard more good things about him and next thing you know he goes 3rd overall and we end up with...well....someone else.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

I was wondering if Lillards ability to lead his team, on the court, in the media, with the fans is a huge plus. I'm thinking that the Rookies are going to be under a microscope this year and much hope will be placed on their shoulders. Lillard has faced this expectation and burden more than the rest. He's used to the pressure and has the character to be himself under the limelight.

With the media attention in TO that will be a very important attribute.

Dealing with expectation while presenting a lunch bucket mentality that DC espouses and the fans LOVE.

HUGE marketting potential!

We have been the underdog for so long we need a player who can maximize that. A player who will help DC change the culture through hard work and bring respectability to the butt of Barkleys jokes.

Lamb and the rest just can't do that. J Val needs time to adjust and this team is starving for a real leader, a leader who earns respect.

Lillard is the guy.

Young Baron Davis' physicality was on a hell of a level of display, he uses his amazing athleticism well, has extremely strong body and incredibly explosive. He has the skillset that makes him blowby people easily, an elite type of handle, and shows court vision too, and shoots well off-the dribble, and balance his game w/ both scoring and passing, so far Lillard is still being doubted by the SCOUTS about his passing. What I'm saying is young Baron's skillset is quite impressive at an early young age. I know Lillard has the build and athleticism and the shootings, but his off-the-dribble is yet to be iso-worthy. Davis at young age was and Davis has a stronger body at early age and absorbs contact really well and he basically displays all of his physical dominance and utilizes skillet same time at a very outstanding level. He's also drafted 3rd on a loaded draft w/ Odom, Wally, R-Ham, Andre Miller, Shawn Marion behind him. That says something about the young Davis.

Young Baron Davis was much more athletic and was a crazy ball handler. Plus he played at UCLA not Weber state.

That's exactly how everyone describes Lillard except the Lamb lovers.
