if we want truly rebuild, we need trade Jonas and Amyr too...

If you want to rebuild, why would you give up Jonas, the one piece on this roster you'd want to build around?

With Casey saying that we need a defensive veteran, I think Kirilenko would be a nice option for us. Since he did opt out his contract, any ideas of the Raps looking to sign him?

He will probably cost too much.

Probably, since he did opt out of a contract that had $10 mil left.

If its true that D12 is leaving LA, and Kobe may take a year off and let them tank. Then what about:

Pau Gasol + Steve Nash

For Lowry, DD and AB.

For LA they get a cheap PG for the tank year, DD who is a local and can "mentor" to Kobe, and AB who might do better under Mike D's offence first plan

We can't tank for another two years, so why not go for it and try to make the best of our two year wait?

Its not like Nash will say no. He didn't sign on for a rebuild.

Any interest of Darius Morris as a cheap 3rd PG option?

Raptors out:
DD, Bargs,Lowry,Fields,Acy+ 2014 2nd rounder.

Raptors in:
Bledsoe, Jordan, Thornton, Fredette, Stuckey, Jerebko

Clips Out:
Bledsoe,Jordan, Butler

Clips In:
DD, Bargs

Detroit In:
Lowry, Acy, Fields

Detroit Out:
Stuckey, Jerebko, Pistons 2014 2nd rounder

Kings Out:
Thornton, Jimmer, Pistons 2014 & Raptors 2014 2nd rounders.

Kings In:
Butler (expiring), Pistons 2014 & Raptors 2014 2nd rounders.

Raptors 2013/2014
Val Jordan Gray
Amir Jerebko
Gay Ross
Thornton Stuckey
Bledsoe Jimmer

Far-fetched certainly but it all checks out in the trade machine and is pretty balanced money-wise once DD's extension kicks in.

When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Tank 2014 Scenario:

Trade #1
Raptors Receive
Eric Bledsoe
Alonzo Gee

Clippers Receive
DeMar DeRozan
Landry Fields

Cavaliers Receive
Caron Butler

Clippers get a younger, more athletic Compton shooting guard and a wing. Cavs get the 3 they need to compete for the playoffs this coming year.

Trade #2
Raptors Receive
Spencer Hawes
Lavoy Allen

Sixers Receive
Andrea Bargnani

With Nerlens Noel, the Sixers' scoring issue only gets worse. They really need a big who can score and Bargnani fits that need wonderfully.

Trade #3
Raptors Receive
Alec Burks

Jazz Receive
Kyle Lowry

Jazz are known to take point guards along quite slowly. With Trey Burke coming off the bench, the Jazz will need a starter. Lowry fills that need.

Bledsoe
Ross/Burks
Gay/Gee
Johnson/Allen/Acy
Valanciunas/Hawes/Gray

This team has some very nice young players (Bledsoe, Ross, Burks, Gee, and Valanciunas) without completing removing any veteran influence (Gay/Johnson).

Is their any chance we can acquire the Clippers 2014 first rounder in any deal?

Something like:
Derozan/Bargnani/1st Round Pick (2015) [Top 3 protected] for Bledsoe/Butler/1st Round Pick (2014)

Would that work?

Possible trade scenarios (if we acquire Bledsoe)

Trade #1:

Kyle Lowry/2nd Round Pick (2014) ---> Mavericks ---> Anthony Morrow/1st Round Pick (2014) [Top 3 protected]

Trade #2:

Kyle Lowry ---> Hawks ---> Deshawn Stevenson/1st Round Pick (2014) [Top 3 protected]

I really like Trade #1...not feeling Trade #2 lol but whatever..

I doubt that Lowry will be traded until Howard makes a decision. I can't imagine too many teams wanting him in the first place, but Dallas and Atlanta could work. If they can't get Rondo in a trade somehow, maybe Lowry would be a good option for either team. If they don't get Howard, I could see either team tanking.

Trade 1:
DD, Bargs for Bledsoe, jordan, Butler

Trade 2: Lowry, Ross, Acy, 2014 First round pick for Josh Smith S&T 4yr/48M , Shroeder, Second round pick
Amensity Kleiza
Sign Ellis 3yr/30M for much needed 3 point shooting and try to convince him to take less salary to try to win

Lineup:
Bledsoe/Shroeder
Ellis/Fields
Gay/Butler
Smith/Amir
JV/DJ/Gray

LAC is intrested in Bargs and Doc is interested in DD and any Bledsoe deal Butler has to come along. Jordan will make contracts match cause of DD's poison pill

Instead of losing Smith for nothing they get a young prospect in Ross and another first rounder along with Lowry who they can make his value rise in a contract year and acquire another first rounder at the deadline and another prospect in Acy.

We'd be slightly above the lux tax but TL said it would be worth it if it were for winning. and this does look like a winning team. the backups could use a lot of help though.
We can play around with small running teams by playing big with Ellis at point, Gay at SG, Smith at SF, JV at PF and DJ at C. offensive rebounds for days

What do you guys think?

most likely to decline is the Wolves imo. Two lotto picks for an oft-injured (but productive) guy on a near max deal is steep. But then again, they are trying to convince Love to stick around and Flip Saunders is now running things, so who knows.

Any interest in Tyreke Evans if we get Bledsoe? Obviously, the biggest issue would be a lack of shooting in the back court, but with Bledsoe's shortcomings running an offense and Tyreke's ability to do it we could be unorthodox where the offense is run through the shooting guard. I'm just not sure how we'd get Tyreke, I guess it depends on if LAC really wants Bargnani more than DeRozan.

I don't want any part of Eric Gordon, he's too injury prone thus making his contract horrible ( + its long)

Sure. And Tyreke shot 34% from 3 last year on 2 attempts per, his shot isn't so bad.

EG's contract is still shorter than DeMar's, and I'm ok with twice the player for half the games provided we still had Ross.

If we do end up getting Bledsoe, I think we could possibly look to bring in a SG that can handle/distribute the ball more like a Tyreke/Evan Turner type. Bledsoe doesn't seem to have any issues playing off the ball if needed, as he's shown at Kentucky with Wall and now with CP3.
