hey btw, can someone remind paul pierce that when they were the number 1 seed in 2008, it took them 7 games to beat the 8th seed atlanta hawks... were they not the bonafide number 1 seed that year either?

I still want him fired regardless, Vanvleet and bench mob saved his ass not his stupid rotation

We won inspite of casey but i have to admit he finally dod the right rotation in the 4th putting in lowry and CJ its what i was calling for the entire quarter. Still think hes a sh coach but he did maake the right adjustment today

Great win for us.

I dont know if anyone noticed but u guys see when beal tried to punk freddy. Beal scored on fredd and fredy came back and tried to score and beal bloked him and then he pretended to walk up the court nonchalantly in freddys face. I wanted terrible things to happen to beal at that moment. Would love to see if someone can pull up that vid

So I just went through the seasons and counted in the playoff brackets for every year going back to 1987-88 season, and found that that Celtics team had the worst run of any Finals winner in over 30 years.

No other Finals winner since '87-88 has lost 10 games in the playoffs and won a championship (nor has any team had 9 losses in the old best-of-5 format).

Literally the worst playoff run for NBA champions in at least the last 30+ years. And somehow they keep getting the airtime over all the media to talk about their team like they were God's gift to basketball.

someone tweet this to paul pierce. guy is an idiot. this is what i hate most about sports media. they talk bull about how teams should and shouldnt play without taking into context their own performances.

I don't think I've seen a player with so much potential be this bad for an entire year. The dude went from starting, to coming off the bench, to not playing a single minute....yikes.

I would consider trading him and Ibaka for any sort of upgrade/picks because they give you nothing and in theory their 30mil get's you PG13 etc...

Serge + Powell for Millsap

Millsap is more per year for the same length as Ibaka, but Raps get out from Powell's contract, and can sign Malcolm Miller to a low-scale contract as well as sign another undrafted FA like we did VanVleet.

Washington was only 8th because Wall missed a few months. They might have been 5th or 6th seed if they had both Wall and Beal healthy all season. Pierce is ridiculous. Raptors took care of business. It wasn't a sweep or end in 5...but at least it isn't going to 7. Lowry and Derozan didn't disappear. We won a game 1 for a change. We exorcised the spectre of the Washington sweep of a few years ago. We managed to shut up the trash talking Wizards and Pierce. Mission accomplished for this particular round.

**** this nonsense. Paul Pierce is a motha **** punk ass bitch. How about you mention the Wiz aren't really an eight seed, wit your dry ass chappy lip self. I've never wanted this team to beat the Cavs in a 7 game series so bad in my life.

the narrative with these guys is so **** hypocritical... pierce once called wall the best point guard in the nba... then pierce says we're still gonna lose this series as the 1st seed... now the argument is "you're struggling against an 8th seed." so what, now wall isn't the best pg in the nba any more? now the wizards are just a trash scrub 8th seed??? wall and beal aren't an elite back court anymore? now we should be sweeping them after you initially said we would lose? wtf are you guys talking about. be **** consistent.

Paul Pierce literally recently said that this is "not your typical 1v8 match-up"...now he's switching it up and saying the Wizards are only an 8th seed and that Raptors shouldn't be struggling with them. This guy can't admit that he was wrong.

It's also one **** championship. The three-peat Lakers don't talk this much **** about their rings, and they rocked the NBA and beat a host of elite teams just to make the Finals.
