Am I the only one really high on Brandon Miller? I feel like he might be the only guy in the draft who could be a 30 ppg guy one day. You watch his highlights compared to the late lottery prospects and his movements just look next level compared to theirs.

Such a headache at this point
If they're not gonna give us #3, that's fine. Give us Sharpe + Simons + 3 future first rounders

Tbf Scoot and Simons would be the most athletic backcourt in the league. (Correct me if I'm wrong).
You are wrong.
Simons is a slam dunk champ but his athleticism does not translate into in-game situations.

Simons, Sharpe, #3 and we also have the #13pick? I'll do that. They can have Siakam and OG and the Raptors get to rebuild, especially if Poelt and GTJ come back. That's a nice team to watch. The salaries would mean they have to include junk back though.

Yeah watched a lot of him this season. He literally got better every single game. Just looked more and more comfortable, the shot looked smoother, the confidence grew, and his stock kept sky-rocketting.

Simons + Sharpe + #23 + Future First Round Pick for Siakam is a fair deal.

Don't even need the 3rd pick, Sharpe + future draft capital + filler would be a good return. Sharpe is exactly the kind of player you want beside Barnes to build a team.

I can't really see a workable Pascal to Portland trade if they don't include #3 or Sharpe. The best package they can put together without those guys is something like Simons, Little, #23, and firsts in 2026 and 2028. It's a bit underwhelming, unless our FO loves Simons and wants the opportunity to add some shooting/scoring to replace Fred.

But Bill Simmons suggested a fantasy trade of Pascal for #2 and Hayward's expiring last podcast. So maybe just maybe we can go directly to the source of stupidity and bypass the Blazers to preserve the Jroy's mental health.
If Charlotte thinks Pascal will re-sign then that could actually be a reasonable trade for them. It is probably fair to assume they wouldn’t take Scoot when they already have LaMelo. Brandon Miller’s best case scenario may not be much better than Pascal and it might make sense to pair Ball with someone who can contribute today.

Re: Portland #3 trade rumors part 2
Portland is either pretending they don’t want to trade the third pick or they are pretending they want to keep Dame. I don’t think Sharpe is getting traded regardless.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

He'll be in a different country and hopefully away from whatever is influencing him down South.

Midget backcourt is relative i.e. our most successful run included two ground bound 6 footers and I’m not sure an explosive 6’2” Scoot with huge hands and long arms (apparently 6’9”) and an equally explosive (former slam dunk champ) 6’3” with 6’9”+ WS Simmons can be considered “midget” in the same way.
Fred was the 6th man during our most successful run and even in the lineups where Fred/Lowry played together, we had Kawhi/Siakam/Gasol with Ibaka off the bench behind them. We clearly don't have that size/skill to offset an undersized lineup.

Maybe we can grab another lottery protected first, but yes, this seems more plausible than Sharpe + #3

You know...you don't have to start Simons...
That's one expensive backup PG who wouldn't be able to play beside your franchise cornerstone PG though.
At that stage, what's the point? Better off rerouting him to a team where he can play more than 20MPG he would get here.

6th man. Instant offence off the bench.

Re: Portland #3 trade rumors part 2
Portland is one of the most conservative organizations in the league. JRoy will get to see his team pick #3, keep Lillard and make another halfassed run at the play-in.
