Gonna be fun to go from this to the Raps losing 107-93 against the Heat on Wednesday.

I always liked Corey Zeller's game. Back to his college days. He looks kinda scary in that mask though. NGL

I know the Raptors miraculously beat the Pacers this season but that ain’t happening in the playoffs lol
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

SVG saying the Pelicans the best drafting team these past few seasons. Hard to argue that watching Jones and Murphy closing the game.

The crowds have been great for the tournament games. The games in Vegas might be dull in comparison.

Eventually I think they will expand the tournament to a sweet 16 setup since these games are a lot more exciting/important than a typical regular season game in Dec. Once there are 32 teams, it will be a cleaner format of 8 groups of 4 with the top 2 in each group making it through to the knockout stage. They could even televise a group lottery like FIFA does.

If they are anything like Golden Knight games, they will be electric

Hopefully, but for hockey there's a home team. For the tournament, it's a couple neutral teams.

Think how dull the Super Bowl crowd can be. It will be like that

Would you do 8 groups of 4, or 4 groups of 8? I kind of like the idea of 7 seeding games just to extend the length of the tournament a bit.

Other option is the FIBA route where they do the first stage of group play with 3 games (8 groups of 4), then the top two teams from each group move onto the second stage of group play where two groups merge (for a total of 16 teams in 4 groups), and you play 2 more games for a total of 5 seeding games.

Then, the top 2 from those merged groups move to the round of 8.

My ideal schedule (assuming they go to 32 teams)

Regular Season:
A balanced 62 game regular season (home and away against every team)

Tournament (separate from regular season):
4 groups of 8 (home and away against every team) for a 14 game tournament schedule. Top 4 in each group go to a knockout 16 team bracket. Highest seeds get homecourt until a neutral site final.

Playoffs:
Your typical 16 team playoff system. I don't mind the system currently with the play-in.

You'd be competing for 3 separate trophies every year - regular season title, tournament title and playoff title.

It's embarrassing how every other team seems to have someone that can comfortably dribble pull-up from 3.

A fan passed away at last night's Pels-Kings game. Only in his 30s. R.I.P. :(

The Kings were playing the Pelicans in an in-season tournament game on TNT when the fan experienced a medical emergency just before 7:30 p.m. Paramedics responded to provide medical aid, but they were unable to resuscitate the man.

“During the first quarter of the Kings vs. Pelicans game, a guest had a medical emergency,” the Kings said in a statement provided to The Sacramento Bee. “EMS immediately responded and administered CPR. Tragically, these efforts were unsuccessful and the guest passed away. The organization offers its deepest condolences to the guest’s family and loved ones.”

The Sacramento Fire Department told Fox 40 the victim was a man in his 30s. He was unresponsive when medics arrived. After 20 minutes, he was pronounced dead.

Why didn't they keep Hali and Fox together? What a backcourt. And just get a solid rebound and defense center.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.
