First of all, Williams is doing far worse than I thought he was this year, so maybe little to no incentive would be needed. That being said, I'm still not convinced the Hawks would give Toronto a better and younger SF than Kleiza for a Jose/Bibby swap. Even if it costs something as minor as Weems, Dorsey, or Miami's pick, I'd still do it anyways. But if we really wouldn't need anything to entice the offer, I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong. Its definitely not out of the realm of possibilities.

Jose > Bibby, there's no question. But with them having to re-sign Crawford and Horford, I don't think they would be thrilled to pay $5 mill more a season for Jose. And I'm pretty sure they'd feel confident they could find a solid PG for the MLE before they would have to pay Jose $10 mill in his final year. Knowing Toronto is rebuilding, I think the Hawks know that we would probably be pretty happy to take a guy who has put up similar stats this year for half the salary with one less year on contract.

What would you want for him?

We're pretty high on Amir, so we'd probably want more than the Bucks would be willing to give up...I'd want Sanders, CDR, and a 1st (and any necessary filler) for Amir+Weems.

I think thats a significant over estimation of Amir's worth but I would more than willing to part with Amir if we could tie him to a Kleiza/Calderon deal. I feel like he's certainly earning his contract but we just dont have a need for an undersized, energy big. We need a real big, big to fit into the PF/C rotation with Ed/Bargs/Dorsey-type scrub.

Clearing Calderon's salary along with Amir would give us tons of room to overpay a real C to come here.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

Brandon Roy is interesting.
I like to think he will recover, but I would hate to have an Orlando Magic/Grant Hill situation on the books as long as Roys deal lasts.

Lol Randolf is currently being discussed straight up to Minnesota for an protected pick. I doubt Miami pick would do it.

Barbosa we could get more than expirings for, he has real trade value not to mention a good contract.

I think Turiag is a pretty ideal 4th big for the Raptors. He's not so good that he'll steal time away from Davis and AMir, but he's much more of a center than Dorsey so he can get some playing time with all three of our young bigs. He's a guy teammates and fans always fall in love with who works very hard, so he could be great for on and off-court chemistry,

I'd prefer to take on Curry in a larger deal for Peja if it meant us getting back Turiaf for just Dorsey though. Dorsey wouldn't be needed and Peja might get bought out anyways, so Curry's deal saves us more $$.

To Toronto: Redd + Walker
To NYK: Peja
To MIL: Barbosa + Curry

we get out of Barbosas contract

Bucks go for the playoffs.

NYK adds a sharp shooter off the bench for Currys useless corpse

Not sure if the Bucks would want to risk paying Barbosa for another year, but I'd definitely do it. CDR has the potential to be a solid, legit SF for us. He's shooting 42% from 3, is very athletic, can handle and create off the dribble, and plays solid D (his DRtg this year is 103).

i changed it because that deal puts them into tax. The other deal doesnt have CDR in it although he wouldnt see minutes.

^^yeah I noticed he's not in it anymore. I'd want to acquire him in a reasonable deal if we could, I think his defense, athleticism, and solid shooting/scoring would let him fit in well here (although I would want to see Kleiza gone so we could run Wright/CDR at SF for the rest of the year, which I think would help DeMar's game as well).

I dont think the blazers will give up pryzbilla with their thin front court... I think they like having him- not to mention he's also an expiring contract for them.

Ok what about a simple swap

To Toronto: Andre Miller
To Portland: Jose Calderon

Portland after next year has no PG. They can't expect a rookie to come in and be productive and the rookie could backup Jose. Miller 34, Calderon 28 is 6 years younger and a better shooter which fits their offense

Toronto gets a contract that's unguaranteed next year so we save enough to have cap space. My idea would be

- Draft Irving (means we need to lose. I would waive miller and Peja. Let them sign with contenders and we get worse. Doubt BC would waive miller though).
- Sign Jeff Green to a 11 million dollar starting deal. This way thunder don't match
- Offer our TE for a center either via S&T with Dalembert/Oden/Perkins/Jordan or offer it for Biedrins

Irving / Bayless
Derozan / Barbosa / Miami pick
Green / Klezia
Davis / Johnson
Bargnani / Biedrins / Alabi

Marc Gasol for Ed Davis and draft pick. Sign and trade for Gasol.

Memphis wants someone good but inexpensive. Ed Davis would work considering he is playing well and Memphis needs a big. I doubt they will sign Gasol for his asking price and Zach Randolph also expiring.

The Raptors need a Center and not another PF. We've already invested in Amir. Getting a rebounding defensive C with a touch of offense would be ideal. Would allow Bargnani opportunity at the PF too, which is more natural then at the C in my opinon.

That could be feasible... it really depends on whether Portland is looking to cut their losses and rebuild, or still try and compete in the West.
