We need JRoy's take on this.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

It feels like an absolute smoke screen

Pelicans threatening to take zion williamson instead

Dame threatening to leave

Pelicans fluffing for #3

I think it maybe between raps and blazers

This is better than what I expect.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Maybe we can grab another lottery protected first, but yes, this seems more plausible than Sharpe + #3

Not for POR it isnt.

Ok see I went to bat for you the other day but now you’re starting to overstay your welcome, homie.

Basically this. One or the other is going to happen. They not doing the fake support Lillard thing for another season.

Same thing could be said of our team who we thought would blow it up at the deadline to be in your position to draft 3rd overall. Now there's a chance we might just run it back with the same team loll

Yeah watched a lot of him this season. He literally got better every single game. Just looked more and more comfortable, the shot looked smoother, the confidence grew, and his stock kept sky-rocketting.

Does the gun thing scare you?

I’m high on Miller. You didn’t ask me but no. Reason why is they have all the text messages and video from all the events leading up to the shooting. His story checks out with evidence to prove it. If his story didn’t check out, he’d be up on charges of accessory to a capital murder.

It’s not his fault his then-teammate is an idiot.

My biggest concern on Miller would be finding out how much work he puts into the game. Is he a gym rat? If he is, I’m all in. I’d put that as a higher priority than the tragic murder of the young woman.

A lot of this back & forth and inconsistency amongst reports is simply posturing which is expected just days before draft night.

His extension has him getting 25% of the cap which will likely be less than Pascal's next contract.

I don't know about adding a non-shooting Zion to a non-shooting Scottie. I can't see that as a recipe for success.

I usually fully avoiding non-shooters. However, when. The talent level is a potential superstar, I think you still do it.

Agreed. In general, I would like more shooting too but Zion's talent is undeniable and Pascal isn't a shooter either.

Bring him home. 8-)

The same tweet thread had this as well. Are reputable people in the league expecting both Sharpe and #3 for Siakam?

I’ve never missed a draft but I sorta want to miss this one. Sleep through it and wake up on Friday to see what kind of moves happened/didn’t happen in the morning. I probably can’t resist watching but it would be a fun thing to do.

If it's not for #3, I can easily see this taking place:

I don’t think we can get Sharpe at any cost, he seems untouchable in the same way Scottie is for us. If he were in the draft this year he’d be top 3 IMO.
