Dallas wouldn't, I don't see why Utah really would either. They're gonna need those picks to build with Cooper

I mean its Nico we are dealing with. And Utah isn't a big market. so its not what the NBA wants tbh lol

if durant is going to the t-wolves i hope we can sneak in there and get some sort of deal for divencenzo and/or conley who would really stabilize this team from a vet presence standpoint

so a young player and a future first?

if Jak is traded in a KD package and #9 is not included, i would be willing to trade a 2031 or 2032 first and a player.

IQ/Shead
KD/Walter
BI/Battle
Scottie/Mogbo
Williams/#9

If the KD experiment doesn't work out you have $55m expiring and a fairly young team.

I think sending out deep future picks like in 2031 or 2032 puts a pressure point on us down the road since we rely too much on the draft and you dont know where we will be by that time. I much rather give up 2026 since you have a better idea of where we will be.

Just say no to Mark Williams
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Are they actually going to do a trade or will nothing materialize and they’ll go in saying Ingram is our major ‘off-season’ acquisition?

Pretty obvious. We wouldn't be involved in all these rumors if we didn't have RJ available. He makes the most sense to be packaged in these deals, espcially considering we have young depth behind him in Gradey Dick and Jakobe Walter

If he were on the market, I would've traded RJ + a boatload of picks for Devin Booker. That's the type of player that would fit seamlessly with Ingram and Scottie

I wonder if Lamelo is available

I'm sorry but if Dick is anywhere near the starting lineup, this team will be ASS next year too.

Ochai is already a way better player than him and there's a chance Walter/Battle will be better than him next year to make him the 11th/12th man. Dick has a lot of improving to do and the best I can see him being next year is slightly better than Walter and Battle.

It's posts like this why I can't take half of y'all seriously when talking about Gradey Dick.

Like I agree with the defensive concerns but the rest of this? Pure nonsense.

Who the F cares who you take seriously lol.

And if you agree with the defensive concerns then you should easily understand that its a possibility Dick could be out of the rotation. Last year he was a massive defensive liability while being average offensively.

He either needs to become an elite shooter or improve his defense to the point he doesnt get hunted on every play. Teams trying to win don't give 1 way players who cant even do the 1 thing theyre good at efficiently.

what are the trade options besides KD?

Bane actually would've been the perfect RJ upgrade

I guess a Trey Murphy type addition? but likely insane package to acquire.

Part of me thinks just draft Coward who could be poor man's Murphy.

Not sure I'd do it even if I could, as much as I like Trey Murphy in theory he's not as good as Desmond Bane.

If im sending out the whole treasure chest of 1st for the next half decade I want a real big fish (atleast similar to Bane)

but who's out there that makes sense?

Minus KD and melo who I don't think convincingly makes us better with what we'd give up

Case in point.

Out of the rotation? Non-defenders manage to stay in the rotation for good teams all the time, this is just stupid and completely ignores the other logistical reasons why they would never do that such as, oh I dunno, it tanking his trade value for people like you who simultaneously want him traded for a better player but also don't think he's that valuable (which you know...why would a team trade for him if he doesn't have much value? It would once again make more sense to play him and bolster his value for such a trade).

Clown shoes nonsense right here.

I think it depends on whether we want flexibility or just some minor consolidation. One move that comes to mind is trading him for KCP and a future Magic 1st, with the hope that Pope can rehab his value since last year was an outlier for his shooting. You also hope he can mentor the other SGs on the team like Dick, Ochai and Walter.

One other option i've seen fielded was the Kings doing a Kangz move in trading DeMar and a 1st for RJ which...makes them younger I guess? I like a DeMar reunion on paper but it's a year too early for that, I feel.

Bam could be an interesting option if the Heat strike out on KD and finally decide to do a rebuild...but they do owe the Hornets a 1st in 2028 at worst (2027 is lottery protected) so that would need to be a very short rebuild.

Trey Murphy would be my favorite option but...the cost will probably be more than expected thanks to the Magic screwing up the trade market.

One funny option could be the Bulls. Zach Collins and either the 12th pick or a future first? It would free up cap space to re-sign Ochai at the very least.
