Depending on how this pans out for Miami I actually think Riley would be the top gm in the league and Presti #2. However at this moment Presti is the best in the league no doubt it's how I'd like to run a team if ever given the opportunity

What Presti does great is not taking risks and profiting from facilitating moves for other teams.

No strong assets and no cap room, thats the corner we have been backed into by Colangelo.

Colangelo can be as active as he wants in talks, but the talks go nowhere.

Cap room would have been nice right about now, to swing similar trades like this.

I thought that Pat Riley would do this exact same trade essentially tho Raps are not in a position to capitalize

OKC now talking to Indiana about flipping Maynor, #18 and #21 for their #10 pick.

From Sheridan's twitter.

If they waive J.Jones, they can re-sign Wade, add a max guy and have $10M+ left.

Who do they pick up with that $10mill??

Yup, I'd do that too. I think we only get that deal if Aldrich drops though...

Sanders and Maynor for 13? Unite the former VCU teammates? Sounds good to me.

Good move for the OKC. They're in a good position to get even better than they already are.

Miami... well, at least they rid a bit of cap space. *shrugs*
Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

i was hoping heat would do this

an extra 3 mil in cap can go a long way in FA and moving down 14 spots and losing a bench warmer is hardly a high price to pay for us

I believe it's $12 million now, and $13-14 million if JJ is waived.

Again, Riley wouldn't do this if he didn't already have some prospects showing interest. I know I am a Heat fan first, and I've learned that he thinks several steps ahead of almost all. What it is, I have no idea.

How do you move down 14 spots just to save $2.1m you clowns.

OKC pantsed them.

So would you rather have the 32 pick or cap space to sign two max free agents?

Lucky for Miami they now have both..

Great move for both teams. I would argue that #32 is as valuable as any late first round pick and getting rid of Cook on top of that... Nice. OKC could use some depth and something decent could be had at #18.

It pays having draft picks, even 2nd round draft picks. Gives you flexibility.
Too bad our moron GM doesn't get that. Everyone else does.

draft is luck...especially after the top 3.

notice everyone trying to dump picks this year? just like in 2006? not a high quality draft.
