Youd think that we are the worst franchise seeing as how everyone in MLSE is told about every offer and deal they have on the table. I really really hate the offseason speculation because 99% is trash, and .5% is legit, and the other .5% is people throwing garbage out there and it happened to stick.

But do u doubt that any of these deals were being discussed? Just because a trade doesn't go down does not mean the discussion never took place.

I do agree with you about the whole MLSE thing. Personally I don't know anyone working at MLSE, but I might just make one up to join the rest of you.

I would love to acquire Randolph. I definitely believe that the Raps have interest, and have made an offer. If we somehow got Randolph, shipped out Turk, and acquired a defensive C, I'd be ecstatic!!! I think Randolph at the 3 spot would be amazing on the Raps.

Doesnt this guys rumour state that BC is trying to bring in Dalembert for Turkoglu?

wouldnt that be our C with Bargnani moving to PF and hopefully Randolph playing SF??

Any idea what kind of deal we could do for Randolph? The only expirings we have that match up size-wise are Belinelli (who can't be traded back until July 1--oh man that would be hilarious), or Dorsey+Weems (who could both be cut because they're unguaranteed?). It really makes little sense that we actually get him unless we're taking on a lot of salary (please let it be expirings+pick for Ellis+Randolph )

Randolph is capable of playing C, but can also play the 3, and is likely best suited as a 4... as old rem will be quick to point out, he guarded Dwight well, and managed to post up 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists against the Magic.
His per40 minutes, pace adjusted stats: 18.9 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.5 blocks, 1.4 steals, 6.7FTA shooting 45% (18.6 PER).

It's possible, but ideally you would have Randolph at the 4 I think, or at least thats what GS fans have said based on the way he plays. We would have a HUGE lineup with those 3--but in any case, I don't think Dalembert figures into our longterm plans anyways.

I hate to inform you, but GMs discuss deals all day, and they do their due diligence on every player thats availiable, so theoretically im sure BC has discussed almost everyone since hes said were overhauling our roster. When your "source" is a "friend who works at MLSE but cannot be named", the creditability is none. All these rumors are things Rhett has posted ad nauseum from legit sources, and our piggybacked under the guise of a "source".

The whole point is, people love attention. And by posting these inane rumors it feeds into that. Go look at the HF boards, its just Leaf proposals for Kaberle, and player x, we should trade X for a draft pick. The reason they post this garbage is so that if, one were to come true, they can all point to their thread and say se, I was right. But when they are wrong, just add it to the other 100s of threads that were too.

Samuel Dalembert cannot be traded because he was traded in a trade that included multiple players. If he was traded one for one I believe he could be traded but since Hawes was included with Noc I'm pretty sure Sam is tied up until sometime during the upcoming season.

Correct me if I am wrong

I wouldn't mind having Anthony Randolph in a Raptors Uniform. I hope the deal gets done.

Randolph has Odom potential. We could very well use him at the 3 and make a huge front-line like the Lakers (if a deal did go down  )

Randolph = Garnett on D, Amare on offense. possibly the greatest of all time.

I believe he can be traded by himself but not with anyone else.

Get rid of HedoNothing by the end of the night and I'll be happy regardless if we draft another Hoffa.

Don't forget Magic's ability to handle and pass the ball.

Ellis and Randolph for pick and expirings would be amazing, but we all know BC wont be able to land an allstar calibre player

you've got it sort of backwards.

because he was just traded (doesn't matter if with other players or not at this point), he can only be traded by him self now, he cannot be packaged with others at this point for something like 60 or 90 days or something like that, although they may have lowered the amount of time recently, i'm not sure
