I have never had to use a walking boot in my life, anyone out there who's used it for less than a broken bone?

it can literally be for anything.
i sell that exact model (its great for winter LOL). my guess? likely an ankle sprain. the boot will reduce healing time.

ankle boots come in 2 "styles". the short boot is for foot injuries (fractured toe, possibly a tissue issue) and the tall boot is for ankle injuries or ankle fractures.

he's not on crutches, so I'd assume that he injured his ankle and they want it to heal up before training camp. he's putting full weight on it, so that will tell you about the severity of the injury. if he was in pain, he wouldn't be able to put any pressure on it. so i'd assume its not a fracture (6-8 weeks) and its just a sprain (1 to ?? weeks, depending on whether or not its a high sprain or a severe sprain. again, looking at the photo, it isn't that severe. when someone has a severe ankle sprain, they still can't put weight on it easy when the boot is on).

so don't worry. its likely fine. likely.

Didn't he sprain his ankle slightly against Russia in the last Olympic game? I'm sure management put this on him as they want it to be healed fully. Seeing as he's walking on his own, I would assume it's not some sort of serious issue.
