The ORG is clearly trying to prop up Bargs so they can get something of value for him; but if you're trying to make the playoffs, why would you put a fourth scorer along with Rudy, Kyle, and Demar, when you are obviously lacking that Defense below the rim.
How Val looked last night, especially with Amir, I was shocked he didn't play the entire 4th. DC played him very litlle in the 3rd because he had 3 fouls, which turned out to be useless as he never got back in.
Casey almost never plays Val down the stretch of games and it screws with the team because they have to play a different style.
This team will never really develop, until Val gets 35-40 min. and Ross gets around 20. Landry Fields and Bargs/Gray are holding back our boys.
Did you see how many TO he had in the paint last night? Yes, he's playing some great defense; but he's a liability offensively. Granted that AB has been atrocious all year doesn't change the fact that Bargs is more gifted offensively.
You wanting to watch him play doesn't equal what's best for the team or his development.
Huh? He had what 5 offensive rebounds in the first half yesterday? Bargs is more talented offensively? 0 points really shows that, doesn't it. Rebounding, defense, effort, post scoring. All better than Bargs. He can't even hit wide open shots. He's done at least as a Raptor. Stop loving in 13 game Bargnani land. So many players have played so much better for so much longer periods of time and fallen flat on their face (Amare) and now no one wants them. Who the hell wants a guy who had a good 13 game stretch. Honestly some people need to give it up.
