Not much more, no. But he's 22, good PER, and a player that will max out at 7-9 mill. a season at most. I'm in the mindset of tanking and building and he's a nice (not essential) piece to pair with Val long term.

Not every guy needs to be a star/franchise player. And I'm not as high on Ross thus far as I'd like to be and Amir is getting older and logging those minutes after so many years.

I agree. If Ross and filler get it done, great. But I doubt Cavs touch that.

If that deal could be worked out, I'd move Amir to LA or a contender if possible for a pick and prospect. I think his value is that high right now.

Lowry + Amir could net a nice package. I just pray Dwight Buycks is more then we think. We deserve a break as fans. Our own Jeremy Lin situation

Maybe something like Lowry + Amir for Lamb + Jones + Thabeet + Martin's Trade Exception? Key to the deal is acquiring Lamb, whom I think is going to be a big time scorer in the NBA.

Ross for CJ McCollum?

McCollum - Buycks
DD - Lamb
Gay - Fields
Jones - Hansborough
JV - Thabeet

I dont see why the Bucks do it, they are a treadmill team, lowry and amir dont help them take the next step

For some reason, I just don't like trades with Amir in it. I'm not saying he's a 'superstar' but he's one of those players that you want to keep and make sure he retires with your team.

An excellent hustle player who I want to keep as a sixth man

I would love to get Ryan Anderson here somehow... I think he's expendable in NO, but it'll take a good amount to get him... what do you guys think it'd take?

Also, I think Monroe to Toronto is the best and most realistic deal 20 games into the season. If Detroit works better with JSmith at the 4, Monroe will become expendable, mainly because he's due for a significant upgrade in pay. It's possible that Detroit looks at a Gay for Monroe/Stuckey/Charlie V as an upgrade for them... if not, I think Gay + Amir is more than enough to entice Detroit.

For us, Monroe and JV have potential to be a great tandem up front moving forward. We'd also lose enough games to get a good pick, but we'd have to find a deal for Lowry.

Trade Monroe for Rudy, dump Lowry for a 2015 first and use or own pick to draft Andrew Harrison? I don't think we'd have much of a shot at the top 5 this year especially if we wait until 20 games in to start dealing. Unless he starts showing the ability to hit 3 pointers at 33 percent or better, I want Demar gone before the deadline as well.

I'd rather keep Ross, Shumpert is overrated and has already had a serious knee injury.

I would love to get Lamb on this team too...I would make some type of deal that sends Amir that way to get Lamb in return and Ross could be traded for a couple of 2nd rounders in 2038 for all I care but really I would look to package Ross with Lowry for something else.
