Do fans even care if NBA players take HGH? If it makes the sport more entertaining I would bet fans would be all for it.

The only thing it does is taint the record books because the dudes from the old days put
up their numbers naturally. If you want to document history and find out who the best
players were you gotta keep it clean as possible.

Come on now. It is pretty clear that at no point in the history of professional sports were players not taking whatever they could get their hands on to help them...basically, today our knowledge of body fitness is much better - and so is our knowledge of the best drugs and how to use them.

So I saw a homeless guy going through my trash and I started up a conversation with him, mentioning to him I felt sorry for his situation and then went on to tell him how looking at him made me feel grateful that I am more successful in life than he is and how I never would want to have to get knee deep in some one else's garbage to find lunch, cause that ish is grooooooooossssssss!!! Then I walked away.

What kind of supplements did guys in the 40's-80's take? Maybe a few guys took Roids but

I prefer they made steroids legal and let all athletes take it. We are watching sports to see the best of the best. I personally don't give a damn if they take all the roids they want.

Make it legal and put regulations around it to control use. Only way in my opinion to get it out of the hands of kids.

It's incredibly likely these guys are taken something. They're flying and traveling constantly. So they're tired and they rarely find time to work out to supplement game time. A guy like LeBron plays 40 minutes a night of intense basketball. Then he is in constant fatigue, how is his body recovering so quickly? If anything his body should be in a catabolic mode all the time due to him running so much and apparently working out too, not to mention lack of rest.

This. A lot of people don't understand that rest and recovery is key to gaining and maintaining lean mass. A lot of supplements (legal or not) are designed to help athletes recover quicker and train harder.

Also, basketball is a cardiovascular sport. I understand that some people here are bodybuilders or know someone who is. They'll tell you that getting that big is entirely possible. Yes, it is possible. But now take those guys and have them play 40 minutes of competitive basketball (or do some other high-intensity cardio) every other night. The chances of them staying huge w/o PED's are slim.

Wouldn't the proof be:
1) Him losing a lot of muscle
2) Him looking younger since prior seasons
3) Cramping in hot temperatures which happens with someone who takes HGH
4) Receding Hairline

Now you could say these are all circumstantial and that there are other reasons for these events happening but it isn't a stretch to say he took HGH.

That's the very definition of circumstantial.

I'm not even saying he doesn't or hasn't, but people throw that out as it's fact. Using the same reasoning, one can argue that the majority of NBA players use HGH (the stakes are too high not to) and that Lebron still stands out as an exceptional athlete even given that baseline.

Ridiculous? Sure, so is all speculation to a large degree.
