First time in a long time I'm expecting the Raps to get blown out

He locked up ROY months ago. He's gunning for your trophy now, Poster of the Year .
i'd be happy lockin up the ROY brother, inevitable's throne can only be beaten if Joel Embiid decides to post here as new poster.

If the Raps could learn to play some defense, I'd be a lot more confident. If they play like they did last night it's going to be another blowout.

Was zero excuse to lose last game to the LeBron's only poor management of our assets. Hopefully Casey has finally discerned that starting Vasquez is idiocy . Lowry, Ross, JJ, Amir & Jonas should start.

Re: GT: Raps vs Cavs 12/9/14 @7:00 PM on TSN1,2,5
This is a positive message, here me out.
Raptors usually do better when facing some kind of adversity, at the moment,
-we're without our top scorer so they have to play together and harder on defense
-Played lots of mins, but are more focused on the road and for some reason they play better when they know they have no other choice, more sense of urgency
-We got embarrassed on our floor last time we faced them, we weren't focused at all and want revenge
-We usually play better when we know we have to try hard and can't play soft ball
-Our next game is in 3 days so our guys will go all out
We gotta improve on our pick and roll defense, I know Casey said he addressed that last practice. Guys like Kobe/Lebron will carve us up with their court vision and scoring, I felt like our team just played dumb defense overall. They kept over helping to the point where they left their own man for a wide open dunk and or 3, which resulted in so many offensive rebounds, I think Thompson is probably one of the better players in the league at that. I'd prefer playing one on one defense and letting Lebron try to score on us, is it really that hard to understand? We're fortunate to have a guy like JJ who is the closest it gets to containing Lebron in the entire league, why are we trying to help them out by putting Vasqeuz out there. Listen, I respect Casey and all but he's probably one of the most stubborn coaches out there, he always tries to stay with his rotations even if it's not working, that's the annoying part. I've seen other coaches bring in a new guy at the 9 min mark in the 1st Quarter not giving a crap about how the other player feels, only to adjust and make the other team play to their style. I understand he wants to have "another scorer" facilitator out there in the starting line up without ruining their bench, but you really gotta think to yourself why he wouldn't start JJ over Vasquez at this point when our defense has been terrible. If you want to start jJ it would be against the Cavs, you force Cle to defend Val, you play hard nosed team defense and let your scorers do your thing, its really not that difficult.
REASONS WHY I BELIEVE CASEY STARTS VASQUEZ
- He wants another ball handler out there, a guy who can somewhat penetrate and get guys involved
- This allows Lowry to be more of a scorer and attack, helps Lowry go harder through out the game as he doesn't have to bring the ball up all the time and find guys or his own shots
- Doesn't want to "ruin" the chemistry of both units
- He doesn't all of a sudden want to make it seem like some statement move, Casey isn't the type of guy who will change line ups all that often, most coaches aren't
- It'll put more pressure on a guy like JJ to really stop Lebron, could get into foul trouble (just a random thought)
SOLUTION
- You start JJ and see how it goes, guard lebron one on one like how Diaw did and have other guys around but not over helping like idiots
- If you really want to start Vasquez, bench him right away if he doesn't deliver from the get go. I'm serious, I hate when Casey waits so long to bring in a guy who's on fire and ends up cooling him off
-Need to go with JV early to get him going while he's still not as tired, helps the Cavs get in foul trouble. Also, I love Chuck but this isn't the game for him, i'd rather see a more mobile big like hansbrough be that 3rd big off the bench
-Lowry/Ross/Lou/Val and Vas somewhat need to all have decent games, not big games but decent games while defending great.

JJ would probably pick up a few quick fouls and that skim be the last we see of him. Not worth it.
