TT is young big drafted high and who still has potential. Plus add the cap increase in 2years. I would say market value should be around $10M. For a player of Thompson's stature, this is an incredible risk. An injury could cost him lifetime security. Nothing close to that money exists on the restricted free-agent market this summer, but with James on a one-year deal, Klutch can try to leverage the Cavaliers all over again to get the deal they want – or simply take the one that was already offered.

consistency matters; mo williams and tross arent all stars. but also just looking at their career highs tt's is 29, 21 and 5 while ed's is 24, 17 and 6.

Well if this is true then maybe its not all about the money. Tristan Thompson wouldn't mind making less but in a better (starter minutes?) environment. If I were him, I may want to sign with the Knicks as a free agent, even money is less.

13 mill would be considered a discount to him considering he turned it down, then ppl will be saying how we had to overpay to attract Canadians
