A lot of pots calling the kettle black in this thread. When hockey is mentioned on this board you'll read stupidity in the following posts. The back story on Mark Jones is that he was tired of the amount of coverage that hockey got in Canada and wanted to move to the U.S. where he could cover his favourite sport : basketball. Good for him.

I didn't see a single person criticize Mark for moving to the US.

No one said anything negative about Adnan Virk or the Basketball Jones guys or any of the other Canadian sportcasters who moved down to the US to take jobs.

All the criticism is about Mark hating on Canada or being a douche bag.

and I explained why he might have those opinions.

And it's a horrible rationale for the way this guy acts.

I've come across a bunch of people that are Canadian or living in Canada that get frustrated with the Canadian way of life because they have more of a Capitalist mentality.

I will say though.....when you move to the USA, Americans want you to say how grateful you are for being blessed with a US citizenship. You have to adopt that mentality or it won't go over well with your neighbors/ coworkers.

It's nothing like Canada in that regard.

I've met a bunch of American immigrants & the way they gush about the US sounds exactly like Mark's tweets.
