Low key those are some tough match ups for raps. Grizzlies, nuggets are tough.

Hoping for a Raptors/Lakers and Bucks/Clippers semis with a Raptors/Clippers final. With a 2nd Raptors chip natch.

I disagree. Griz are on the same level as the Nets or Magic, maybe slightly better. Extremely inexperienced and don't really stand much of a chance against the Raps if they're in shape and rolling. Nurse would load up HARD on Morant and I dont know if a rookie can handle that type of defense for an entire series. I'd way rather the Nuggets in the second round than the Celtics, though. The Celtics aren't a good matchup for us defensively. Their small, perimeter oriented lineup really negates the Gasol advantage. On the other hand, I think he goes and shuts down Jokic the same way he did Embiid and Vucevic. Once you get to the conference finals facing the Bucks in a regular format or the Lakers in this new bracket, the Raps are the heavy underdog. And if somehow the Rockets or Jazz get the upset I'm pretty confident against either of those teams. Beating LeBron would be almost as sweet as winning another chip and to go on to potentially face Kawhi, it would be a storybook ending if we could close it out.

Id take the Grizz and Nugs over the Nets/C's, or basically just the Nugs over the C's. The Nuggets dont have a great perimeter threat and theyre not gonna have their elevated home advantage. I trust Nurse/Marc/Ibaka to slow down Jokic considerably and i dont see anyone else on that team that can really hurt the Raps defense. Whereas Tatum was looking like Durant lite before the season ended.

I also like our chances against the Lakers over the Bucks. Bucks are just deeper. With the Lakers, you can win if you limit Lebron. i dont think limiting Giannis means we beat the Bucks tho

Also consider that there would be a Durant-like optics problem if Giannis joined the Raps after being eliminated by them year after year. This would eliminate that possibility until the finals. Kawhi can do the work for us in the semi-finals. Then Raps Clips finals after taking down Lebron finally.

When Stephen A brought it up last week (1-16), initially I was like "no way" but it makes total sense with that Bubble City concept.
I would not be too hot on facing PlayoffsJV and Ja in the first round tho...they certainly have the bodies to perfectly matchup with us

I don’t see how anybody can take this seasons champion seriously and I know for a fact it won’t be taken seriously by ex players. It won’t even be taken seriously by most fans. The only people that will take it seriously in the fans of the team that wins it and media heads if it’s the Lakers, Celtics, Sixers or Clippers. I only see this as just entertainment for Us with the whole covid 19 thing and that’s about it. The results are borderline meaningless at this point. You’re always going be known as the covid 19 champs. It’s unfair to compare this championship to other championships where guys were grinding it out for a whole season and limping into the playoffs like kawhi was last season. I mean even a rookie could possibly be hitting the rookie wall by now and he’ll be Fresh to go. It’s just not comparable to other championships and shouldn’t be on the same level when being discussed. Old Guys like Vince Carter who’s usually limping by now is coming back fresh to end the season smh it’s just not a realistic feeling. If the raptors were to lose in the first round we’ll see how serious some of you will take this whole thing.

If Marc can handle Embiid, he can handle JV - slow footed Cs is Marc's specialty (provided he is still in somewhat decent shape.
