He's a bad finisher that can't play against a majority of bigger teams in the POs.

He will struggle against Boston, Miami, and Milwaukee. Wait.

Aren't those the exact teams we are worried about? I didn't even mention the Nets.

Give the guy his credit, he was high on a player they plaid stellar the other day. Don't need to beat him down because he was right.

when was the last time raptors signed an actual + player? we either drafted or traded for all our stars or "stars".. this franchise receives no respect ;/

Wood is a better shooter. Siakam is still the better player by far.

I would say Wood would have been much better than Baynes as the starting center. He would help space the floor for Siakam and help his finishing game. Siakam's finishing ability has seeming plumetted.

It's a title. It's meant to grab your attention. If you can use common sense and understand our rosters trade value. You can see that a 25 year old prospect is much more valuable than a majority of our roster, not all.

If you don't understand that it means I would not trade OG or Siakam for Wood. Use common sense.

I'm done with this thread. I hit on the Vassell pick and Wood. FVV has shown he still isn't capable against bigger, longer, stronger teams. If we could present day swap Powell, FVV, Ibaka, Gasol, and Davis for Vassell and Wood we would be enamouring about our rosters potential going forward.

The sad thing is we didn't even need to lose Powell, Davis, or Fred for Wood. Then again Davis and Powell seem like they will disappoint this season.

The first page of this thread is such a joke. So many of us knew this guy was going to breakout but of course you have people saying fools gold, common player that can be drafted, empty stats on bad team, etc. Someone actually said Dewan has the same skillset and could follow the same trajectory if healthy lmao wtf :crazy:

He would've been good, could've also gone after Harry Giles. Giles isn't gona get any minutes on the Blazers. Would've been a good guy to take a chance on to play some C/PF for 10-15 minutes a game and potentially develop into something.

Clearly you didn't watch the game yesterday. On 2 occasions wood dribbled past defend and dunked the ball with authority

Had anyone actually looked at the Raptors salary situation? We are over the cap (under the luxury limit) so the best we could have offered Christian Wood is MLE at less than $10M.

The only we could have gotten him is via sign and trade and that required Det willing and take one of our assets. Lots of hoops and hypotheticals before we can get CW.
