why are people so worried about him taking his game to another level when he showed he can do that in the NBA finals. There’s a reason so many fans wanted the guy on their team. We need to be asking this about pascal in the playoffs. He’s sitting on a far bigger contract than Fred and hasn’t really proven himself in the playoffs yet.

Fred and ibaka were 2 of the biggest factors aside from kawhi, Lowry and Gasol defense in that NBA finals. Those 2 guys are under appreciated by a section of this fan base.

Fourth year is a player option so really it's a 3 year deal. Anyways, gives us a lot of flexibility. We need Serge back.

I'm not convinced Fred has any more improvements he can make to his game, and there are limitations with him that cannot be overcome. But that aside, I'm definitely happy for him.

Even if you’re not in love with Fred’s game long term, he’s immensely tradeable on this annual salary and by re-signing him, the raps avoid losing a valuable asset for nothing.

As many have said, very fair deal for both sides. Well done!

Terrible. 21 million for fred is a **** joke. Goodbye being a competitive team if we are just handing out money like this to role players. Especially a guard that **** the bed as soon as they put size on him. Ffs

Lol yeah for such a high IQ his awareness for attempting layups is so bad. If he can learn to draw fouls and fish for contact, or stop and lift his defenders like Lowry does he can be more workable there.

Blake Murphy saying he might have structured his deal so that the Raps have 2021 Flexibility.

That would be even better news

Raps still need another Ball Handler with Size who can create half-court offense.

Wrong, we stay competitive by retaining high end role players. I think you mean bye bye being contenders, and you know that was always the case without a superstar. Fred or no Fred, we aren’t contending without one.

Yeah I figured it was going to be anywhere from 80 to 85 mil contractcover 4 years.

Now that we got this out of the way, time to see if we resign Ibaka or figure out a solution to our diminished front court.

As others have said, a floater would be a huge thing for FVV. That would be a massive addition that would give him more options when he puts the ball on the floor than getting stuffed at the rim or dribbling around until he finds an open teammate.
