Only 4 teams wants Cade and Toronto isn't one of them. Also Detroit leaking this out tells you they don't really want him, either.

Raptors likely made calls as well but they are a bit too far down the draft order...and the Raptors front office moves in stealth so no leaks to the media.

Pistons would want to control who they take and at #4 there is no certainty as to who they would end up with.

Ideally Detroit falls in love with Mobley and takes him #1 or trades down to #2.

I can Cleveland looking to trade up to #1...and offers Sexton and #3 to Detroit.

Your whole premise falls apart because OKC and NOP are behind Toronto. This leak is coming from Detroit, and they have every incentive to announce how many teams are bidding for #1. It doesn't matter how stealth Toronto is, if they placed a call Detroit would throw their name out there.

4) Try to pretend you didn't even ask this because it's so obvious to draft Cade

That's my choice

Hypothetical. There is no way we would blow off the Covid season, preserve the health of our players, win at craps on tier 1 draft position and then reach like village morons for Barnes or Kuminga or whomever is being combine hyped for bigger draft salary.

Raps tidbits from the ESPN article this morning:

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/31770784/big-nba-draft-2021-questions-no-1-locked-looking-trade

"Could we see a team in the top four trading back to pick up more assets?

Bobby Marks: It is probably best to break that question into two separate answers. As it relates to a team trading completely out of the top four, it is highly unlikely considering that Cunningham, Green, Mobley and Suggs are projected as franchise-level prospects. Now if Oklahoma City picks up the phone and offers Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the No. 4 pick, the Raptors would certainly have to listen."

"How can this draft set up free agency and the trade market?
Marks: The Cavaliers have two big offseason questions with the restricted free agency of center Jarrett Allen and rookie extension of Collin Sexton, and both players could be impacted by whom Cleveland selects with the No. 3 overall pick.

Even if the Cavs selected a big man in Mobley at No. 3, it's likely that Allen would still receive a lucrative contract in the offseason (think five years, $100 million). The Cavaliers could either pair him with Mobley or move him in a trade down the road, which would be better than letting him walk for nothing this summer.

Sexton's case is more interesting, because he is not a free agent but is eligible to sign an extension off his rookie-scale contract. Would Cleveland reward him with a max contract, knowing that Suggs or Green could produce at the same level and also be less expensive? Keep an eye on Sexton when it comes to trade talks, if the Cavs select a guard and negotiations stall when it comes to a new contract for Sexton.
2021 NBA offseason

With Toronto at No. 4, the future of free-agent guard Kyle Lowry is up in the air. If the Raptors draft Suggs or Green, Lowry becomes expendable, and the Raptors can use cap space to go out and sign a starting center or build out their bench. They also could use Lowry in a sign-and-trade deal if the market for the former All-Star dries up"

Juzang posted on his Instagram story that he is in Tampa. Considering the fact that USC forward Isaiah Mobley, the older brother of fellow Trojan and potential Raptors selection at pick No. 4 Evan Mobley, was seen with him on Instagram, that strongly suggests that Juzang and Mobley were both there on pre-draft visits.

Nah people bank too much on potential. Kispert imo has a very clear path to success in the league. He has an extremely high floor, should be valuable right away and shooters are in high demand. You don't think the Warriors or Pelicans could use a knockdown shooter?

For some teams, it's smart to just take the safe player who has a clear role rather than drafting Papagiannis.

Wieskamp seems superior, yet is a projected middle of the 2nd round guy and Kispert is projected as a lottery pick, I don't understand it.

More efficient on higher volume while being a better defender. And completely blanks Wieskamp in the advanced stats department.

I would argue that Wieskamp is a much better defender, with higher steals, blocks, and better rebounding. Similar efficiency yet Wieskamp played with worse surrounding players. At worst they are similar players so you may want to move one down and one up on your draft board as they seem very similar.

Risk101 wrote:Possible second round pick. Also Mobley has touched down lol

The Toronto Raptors are hoping and praying that a player with elite talent inevitably slips into their drafting range, as they own two consecutive second-round picks in the middle of that round. While he didn’t show his skills as frequently as some scouts would like, UCLA’s Johnny Juzang proved that he is worthy of a shot in the NBA.

Just out of curiosity, is there any chance OKC would want to package their picks to trade up for #4?

It would be a crazy day if they did, and Siakam got traded for Golden State's picks, just so Masai/Bobby could go HAM on a draft rebuild this summer.
