They really f'd up not going all in for Harden. Should've given up simmoms/maxey/thybulle plus 3 picks.

Only way I’m ok with Simmons is if he plays the 4. Meaning Siakam would need to be on the way out. I’d want more than Simmons for Siakam tho

Cant lie, the thought of OG and Simmons defensively is very attractive. Would nurse be able to make Simmons useful offensively is the question though

I'd do a Lowry S&T with a protected 1st rounder, or a Trent Jr. S&T with a protected 1st rounder. No way I give up FVV, Siakam, OG, or our 4th pick for a guy who can't shoot. The appeal is that Simmons is only 24, so there is some hope he can yet learn to shoot at which points he becomes one of the best players in the league. But as of now he's fundamentally flawed, and you can't give up much for that kind of a player.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

With Embiid, Simmons, and Lowry they are in the finals. Not with just Embiid and Lowry though.

There is absolutely no way Philly does that. they wouldn't trade for Thybulle and Maxey for Lowry at the deadline and they can find a better deal than that elsewhere.

Fvv
Suggs
Simmons
OG
Pascal

Bench:
Flynn
Trent
Boucher
Birch

Looks good on paper, may need another bench scorer but that starting 5 is very intriguing defensively

Pascal playing lengths of time at the 5 will just lead to an injury shortened season for him imo

OG-Siakam-Simmons-Barnes. Every game 70-69.

Simmons would definitely be the 5 in that lineup

We don’t want Ben, but we do like to party so give us a shout if we can get in on a bigger deal.

Not a big fan of players that can't shoot the three or hit free throws. You can't count on them down the stretch of tightly contested games. They will want a lot for him and i'm sure significantly more then he's worth. If it's letting Kyle go to try to win the chip in his home town o.k. all for that, but it's the what else they want, that's the problem! It could easily end up being a zero sum gain.

Interesting point actually. If a team is offering picks/prospects for Simmons, that may not go over well with Embiid or Philly fans who have already been through the process. There may be something we could get out of it if there's someone they want from TO.

Voice of reason right here guys. Philly would ask for multiple first including our number 4 this year plus Kyle. Did you just throw up? Me too. So enough.

It's not my money, so I don't care about the contract. I just don't want to see first-rounders heading the Sixers way.

Don't want him, he can't shoot guys. And he's not 18 anymore so we can't just keep giving him the benefit of the doubt. He has proven he is who he is, he actually said something similar to that.

Let’s be real.

Simmons is like Joey Graham with a pass. Not giving up pick #4 for that.

He's a talented defender, but that's it. Do we want to pay $33-40 million/year over the next 4 years for a defensive specialist?

Morey is tough to deal with unless you have a star player that he has a man crush on. I don't think the Raps have one of those so Simmons will be costly.

I'd take the chance at a blu-chip guy. He's premier slasher and a premier playmaker as well.

There are more desperate teams with better assets who will likely make a trade for Simmons. Not only would we have to give up too much, we would also have to go all in to change the team around him to make it work.
