Our bench got outscored by 30 points. That's literally the game.

But yes let's all blame the main guys who clearly had off nights after carrying for the past few weeks.

At some point you have to have a guy on your bench who can come in and score. We don't have that. Our bench is terrible. Nobody can hit open shots.

That's compounded when you don't have Trent. Hopefully he's back tomorrow.

Can’t blame this on the bench just cause it was 46-16

Their bench took 34 shots. Ours took 21 shots. Their bench played significantly more minutes. Our bench sucks, but the starters were the reason for this loss just as much as the bench

Their bench played 107 minutes and shot 34 shots and got 16 free throws from the refs

our bench played 84 minutes, took only 21 shots and got 5 free throws

tell the whole **** story

You know there's a reason their bench logged more minutes right? I wonder if you can figure it out.

Oh it's just as much the responsibility of the starters tonight. The starters were terrible and the bench was terrible. My take is directed at those people who are mainly directing the blame at our main guys. We don't have any support behind them. They have to play more minutes. We literally don't even have a backup guard.

This. Nurse drives me nuts at times! Without a starting center and decent bench, we are not going anywhere. No point in making the playoffs if that's the case. Hope for a top 10 draft pick and build from there.

Is it bizzarro or Casey simply playing these games like a playoff game? It's pure scouting and knowing what the other team is doing. Games like this teach you more than games where you face teams that don't know you well.

Casey basically takes advantage of every flaw this team has.

Casey knows this team and he pushes his players hard against us unlike any other. Just look at him this game Covid and all, he's probably close to passing out on oxygen but doesn't give a damn due his neverending grudge against us

Like mix it up Nurse.

Fred didn't dominate the ball and I don't think that's the issue. This team is just very bad at generating looks for others and it seems to be an issue with the entire team and how they play. One big issue is that their main players play this way and the bench players have adopted it too.

It works for great offensive players like Siakam and FVV but when everyone plays this individual, the team game suffers. They have shown flashes of being able to take a step back and play more within a team system but don't do it consistently.

The thing I absolutely hate about this team is how they stop trusting each other. I have never seen a team look off a teammate who missed a shot like this team does. The great teams keep passing and trust each other. This team will continue to try to force it to one or two players and hope they can get going while ignoring everyone else.

This team also seriously needs to initiate the offense through Barnes more often. He's the only player who seems to be able to consistently find open players whether they miss or not. Barnes also needs to stop deferring. If he keeps doing this the team will never understand how to play together. I feel he is the one hope this team has in learning how to trust each other.

Stupid. It made no sense to leave our starters in there when we were down 21 early in the 4th. I know we went on that 13-0 run with Siakam/FVV/Scottie leading the way to cut the lead to single digits, but this game felt over when we came out even more lethargic to start the second half. We clearly didn't have anything going tonight and our starters should have played 10 minutes less at least.

On another note, our bench ends up losing us another game. Some people might point to FVV having a really bad shooting night and OG being a turnover machine (and also having a bad night after a hot start), but our bench gave us 16 points on 5/21 shooting (1/11 on threes) while turning the ball over 4 times. Those wide open missed threes by Yuta and Svi especially felt so deflating.

is it because they forced Fred to miss almost as many shots as our entire bench?

I mean bizzarro Raptors as in instead of giving a juggernaut tank one of their rare losses we give a different kind of juggernaut tank more than two of their rare wins.

I'm not denying the Casey kryptonite at all. That rock is pooooiiiissssonnnnnnn

It’s so funny how most people just feed off of negativity. Anytime we lose this thread has soooo many more people in it ready to hate lol. When we win it’s crickets. It’s hilarious at this point

Fully down with giving Scottie the ball and rolling with his development.

I could totally see Pistons players rolling their eyes at Casey at this point in how he only cares about beating the Raptors and gives zero f@cks about any other game.

We are responsible for 20% of Detroit's wins this season.
