Sheesh I had no idea Ochai was pick #14 in 2022.

If Masai likes him as a prospect I can't see how we can complain about giving up pick #29(weak draft 2024) and Otto (nothing) to get a serviceable stretch big and a late lottery pick in a stronger draft

How many players do you want the raptors to draft this year??

We can’t bring new 5 players onto the team from the draft. Traded a useless pick.

We now have 1 FRP this year.

The 29th overall pick in a horrendous draft for Olynyk and Agbaji (a decent prospect) - why are people complaining?

I just don’t like sending away FRP’s at this point. You never know how those would’ve panned out……

Still have #31, which I bet our FO prefers over #28.

Not the case, Olynyk is a really nice fit here that could be brought back.

Olynyk is a UFA though so we could've just signed him in the summer. Agbaji is the real prize for Masai.

Overall, love the trade for us - I'm high on Ochai despite the age, I think he'll become a fan-favourite once he sees a sustained uptick in playing time.

its not about the trade
its about the vision/plan for the team.

A bit better than it's a last 1st.

I'd like Olynyk signed on a friendly 2-3 year deal.

A few things being overlooked - this trade MAY make Poeltl expendable.
We also opened up a roster spot.

Ochai Agbaji was drafted 14th overall 2 years ago. So late 1st round pick for him makes sense. I don't know anything about him tho lol

Kelly at 32 i'm not sure, he has a good skill set but doesn't fit BBQ timeline.
Agbaji is probably going to be molded into a designated defender/POA defender.
