seem like a wash trade.

Knicks needed someone that could log a lot of mins at center with Mitchell injuries and that ain't Randle/Achiuwa. Towns contract is bad though but when he is healthy he is still a very good impact player. Thibs should be able to get that to a borderline top 10 defense if OG/MIkal play 70 games each.

Wolves probably should have given their core one more year but this was inevitable. Randle isn't a bad get but its a meh fit with Ant/Mcdaniels/Gobert.

The Knicks needed someone who could take pressure off of Brunson. I'm just not sure KAT is a significant upgrade over Randle, especially considering they traded depth and apparently a FRP as well.

KAT isn't a bad fit, I'm just not sure he moves the needle for them.

trade makes sense for both teams but Knicks are easily getting the best talent

W for the Knicks, they are SO talented now. they may even rival the Celtics in talent

Like this for the Knicks

I personally think this team is better than Boston if healthy. Brunson is more of an alpha than either Brown or Tatum.

In a vacuum Randle, Divencenzo and a protected first is low price to pay for a top 5ish center. Then you realize that center is KAT….

I hate both teams, but I appreciate that they're both taking the 03-04 Pistons approach to building a balanced team, rather than stacking superstars.

Silver's NBA is in a good spot. The era of the superteam appears to be over, at least for now.

This is why Toronto never made that Bruce Brown trade with the Knicks

They will be resigning players as fillers and then trading them to Charlotte. Dequan Jefferies, bates diop etc.

Once he's healthy Robinson will start at the 5. No way Kat is playing the 5 in the playoffs

I’m not sure Kat is that much better than Randle but he’s a way better fit and can play his natural position there. They match up very well against the Celtics now.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Any way you look at it, a Brunson/KAT/Bridges/OG top 4 is pretty damn strong. Hart and Robinson will be that interchangable 5th starter depending on if they wanna go big or small but it'll be on KAT to do his part defensively. Thibs gonna have options

Like listing it out it looks like a videogame line-up. The Knicks are stacked upfront. Their FO has already won Exec of the Year.

I will say I am curious if KAT can handle the big lights of NY.

Yep, lots gonna be resting on his shoulders. But KAT grew up in Jersey not far from NYC, so he's a local guy, he knows what he's in for. In the absolute prime of his career getting a big spot on a marquee franchise. Lots to be expected from him but he's def got the talent to dominate, no doubt. All about if he's got the proper mentality at this point, but he's 28 now, he should be ready for this.

Kinda helps offset the loss of hark

Theyre a lot bigger in the middle with bridges and og

Kat is probably closing out a lot of games at centre.

Hart Brunson bridges og Kat

That works against the Celtics, big time!

That’s gonna be a crazy series. OG and Bridges can lockdown Tatum and Brown. Jrue is getting older so I don’t think he can keep up with brunson
