Flip floppers need to get to the back of the line. We can see your posts still from when Martin and CMB were drafted

Re: PG: Plan the Parade
Mogbo looked stronger, with more bounce, looked like the game has become slower for him now and improved on his finishing skills around the rim! Looked real good out there! Also Chomche looked more poised out there, was in good position and wasn’t overwhelmed.

He was able to get a lot of good looks but virtually all his shots were short. Maybe a conditioning issue, but I think he'll be alright.
I'm 99% sure Walter will be WAY more than alright. Remember how Ochai was in summer league last year?

People focussing on drafting for offense will end up with a team of 5 gradey dicks

They’re still right, he will be lucky to get into the rotation.
Without injuries, there is about 8 guys he has to beat out for minutes

I love this style of play. Tough/ gritty/ in your face full court defense. I have been wanting the Raptors to play like this since......forever. This is my style of basketball....very entertaing.

I continue to be a big believer in Chomche. I think after this season, he'll be a regular rotation player. Still so young too.
We already have our future backup (& possibly our eventual young starter) in place boys n girls.

This is what they played under Nurse in his final seasons. People complained and said it reminded them of the dreadful coach O'Neil days.

Agreed, but he is the player I am.worried least about. He's gonna be good.
I felt this game.he was forcing things too much. He'll settle down.

We all want these guys to look better offensively but also have to remember, if they were great offensively with this level of defense, they would all be high picks.
The good part is defense often leads to winning more than offense only guys. And defense 1st guys are often lower contracts due to lower PPG...especially in contract #2. You might get the next Herb Jones, or Nesmith 2nd contract if our guys develop that shooting.

Written in blood: Scottie, BI, Poeltl, IQ, RJ, CMB, Ochai (seven players)
Magic marker: Walter, Shead, Dick, Mogbo (four players)
Pencil: Battle, Mamu (2 players)
Martin, Hepburn, Chomche, Lawson (4 players on the outside looking in).
Obviously a trade is needed, especially if Martin looks like another TD2 in his rookie year.

Well......you have to have buy in from the players to do it correctly & you have to have the right athletes.
"National Basketball Entertainment" fans might not like it, but I think real hoopers will love it.
I hated watching the Rondo/ KG Celtics play the Raptors because you don't like.seeing your team get punked like that, but I always respected those guys & wished we had their roster & defensive intensity

People complained not because of the defense, but the non team ball iso offense.
Oh, and not having a starting level C.
If we play stifling defense while playing unselfish offense, we are going to be fun to watch, even in losses. We showed that last year. And we have added BI and CMB to the rotation and Martin into depth. We don't have "unplayables" anymore.

Nick also got heat for his "janky" defence. Without a legit C, our guys had to guard the perimeter and the paint. We allowed a LOT of wide open 3s.

We did. We are way more balanced now.
Funny that 76ers fans complain now about Nick's lack of defense schemes saying "where is all the **** he threw at us when he was Raps coach".
