Atlanta is under more pressure to start this season than we are. Meaning, they either come out storming or implode. As long as we play our game and improve on it, the results are not that important for the first 2 or 3 games.

I only dont want to see us beeing stupid again, like last year in many games - and no injuries.

If by stupid you mean dumb fouls, I am very concerned. We get the worst crews every year because we're not on national games. It is documented that the nba assigns the best crews to national games and there have never been more national games than this year.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Man. Jakob is are only 7 footer, and he is already having back issues.

I know he has had back issues in the past and is probably washed too but I’d be so much happier if Serge was in the Temple role.

Serge would only re-sign here if he got Gasol's starting spot and all his money. He's absolutely the wrong kind of vet for a team this young.

How is Lawson 6'6" but only 185lb?

Gradey is 24lb heavier

Even Hepburn is heavier

That in no way makes him the wrong type of vet. :)

We might get crushed. Really important not to overreact seeing as how our starting 5 isn't compact yet and leaks points defensively.

Practically every nba team deals with roster turnover from season to season. If anything, the Raptors have the most cohesive unit considering we didnt really make many additions to the team.

Crazy when you look at that. 10 players with 3 years of experience or less. Only 2 players with more than 6 years experience (I won't count Temple, since he is pretty much a coach).

Can't believe guys like Mogbo, Shead & Battle have only had one season. Goes to show you how long last season felt. These guys are pretty much rookies still.

I like the roster. Very young. Plus we have our draft picks moving forward.

With dumb things i am talking about things you can control. Like having 5 turnovers in the last 3 mins up 10. Happened a few times last year.

What really scares me is that BI is 6'8" and only 205lbs, an injury waiting to happen!

With the Jays & WS sucking up all the attention, a poor start by the Raptors may not gather much attention.

Atlanta has changes to incorporate too but at least they will still run the offense through Trae.

Defensively though they might also make mistakes just like we will do.

If KP is rusty we have a chance

I think we win a tough one, a back and forth game that we take control of in the last four minutes.

Yak not being listed at all is encouraging but it is surprising that Jakone would be ruled completely out for illness more than 24 hours before the game. He must be really out of commission. CMB’s injury designation is forearm strain not contusion like they were reporting previously, hopefully that doesn’t indicate something more significant.

I doubt we’ll be fully 100% healthy at any point this season. There’s so many injuries in the modern NBA.

Damn so many injuries with CMB already...

Being ruled out this early also means he'll likely miss Friday's game.

Forearm strain is a weird and uncommon one.
