Watch the Spurs , on a historical run with Wemby.

And the new MIA offense Spo has been cooking in the off season.

That one Wemby pick turned the whole franchise around.
They had a bunch of misses with Primo, Wieskamp, Branham, Wesley, Sochan, Cissoko...

Sure, but in the past 35 years or so, they've done it 3 times with the #1 overall and another time with #15 to get Kawhi. That's a lot, all told. And that's before you consider them hitting on Parker and Manu. They've done quite well for themselves overall.

Everyone misses, but they've hit quite a lot.

There are a bunch of really fun teams to watch out there, and the Spurs are right up there. Wemby's an alien, and it's awesome.

I do think the maturity and sulking bit is an issue though.

The complaining to refs and losing your man in the process is a big no-no

The lookback on fastbreaks = non issue

Scottie has issues, this isn't really room for debate.

But we have far larger issues in terms of why we aren't winning, enough so that his maturity should indeed be very far down the list of things we need to care about at the moment. Like, Boogie isn't wrong: Barnes is an immature twit a lot of the time, but he's playing really well right now and we're getting wrecked because we are among the worst defenses in the league. Like, the magnitude of our failure on D is comparable to some of Duncan's peak Spurs defenses in the other direction. We're a -7.1 defense at the moment, third-worst in the league. And that's not on Scottie. Nor is our atrocious rebounding.

We correct that, we start winning, and Scottie's little moments start to fade out of focus a lot more.

It's all related though. His immaturity leads to sulking when things don't go your way, complaining to the refs constantly, showing off against your opponent by looking back and waiting/taunting before dunking, etc. It's all part of the same issue. You'd never see Kobe, Kawhi, Duncan, MJ do these things. These aren't traits of being a leader or a winner.

to me our biggest problem so far this season is our reckless doubling and ultra over helping defense, leading to great looks by our opponents...hoping to see some sort of improvements

When Nick was in his last year as the coach, we would do that and get killed on defence. Wonder why Darko decided to do this again..

I am begging Darko, if we win please do not "let's f***ing gooooooooo" all over the locker room, it's a game against the Cavs missing their top players after a 4 game losing streak. Have some shame!

Teams using us for rest games screw them blow these guys out
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

This game is probably gonna have terrible ratings. I'm not a baseball fan but even I'm tuning into the Jays.

These guys are doing a great job of pointing out basic rebounding and defensive issues. Effort and fundamentals.
