The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Lets stop trying to build around Bosh and expect to win anything except the lottery. We need to find a new route.

Not if they're winning. Do you see magic fans up in arms over Rashard Lewis' max contract? He's giving them 14p/4.4reb and they're ecstatic about their team.

True....but this is the real difference between the Rockets and the Magic...

82, 82, 82, 82, 79, 82

82, 82, 80, 57, 48, 55, 77, 0

Which is why the fans can be "OK" with the limited production from Lewis....
Remove Howard for a couple of months...let Rashard Lewis average 18/6 while the Magic lose a bunch of games....and the fans will want blood. They will probably say that Ryan Anderson can do the same thing, only for a lot less money.

This is a great point. Bosh is the type of player needs to be utilized a little less than he was by Toronto this year to be most effective. He needs to have players to take some of the rebounding and scoring burden off him so that he can stay healthy throughout the whole season. This is what will lead to more wins. I think Houston is a great place for him to do this. L.A. would not be bad either (although he will be a 3rd option there so his presence might be overshadowed)

I'd be pretty pissed if someone on the raps was making max dollars and giving me 14ppg/4.4 rpb, maybe we have different views on what a max player is.

What if he averaged 20 and 9 (roughly the difference between Lewis' career highs and his numbers he posted in 2009) and we made the NBA finals? Would you still pissed?

Thought I would add this into here as it may have relevance for us later on if it comes to fruition for Houston:

As per Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski:

Houston and Portland are two teams that will be working No. 3 Nets and No. 4 Wolves hard to move up in the draft, league sources say.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Rahat Huq's thoughts:

My initial question would be over how they plan to pursue Chris Bosh if using assets to move up that high. I don’t think it would be possible unless Morey has a sense that it would take less to acquire Bosh than what we are assuming. The likelier possibilities are that they:

are just doing their due diligence
prefer someone in this draft to Bosh.
We will have to see. Things could get interesting.

Yeah, not too clear what they are trying to do. My initial thought was maybe make a play for 3 or 4 and grab CB, but Rahat thinks it can only be one or the other.

The fact that both Portland and Houston are trying desperately to move up is telling...they both went after Roy, too. I wonder how good Cousins and Favors will really be...

Favors hasn't demonstrated enough statistically that Morey would give up his assets (when he is supposed to be chasing Bosh) to go after him... I think this is a play for Cousins and Cousins alone... his production is through the roof, and he would be equally valuable to Toronto in a s&t as he would be to Houston (especially if the rumors that Yao is looking for a huge longterm contract, and may opt out are true).

I think it is sorta bad news for Bosh going to Houston, though. It makes no sense to sacrifice their chips in order to grab Cousins, then go around and trade him. Unless they think they have enough assets to both grab Cousins and Bosh?
Basically, I suspect that if they grab Cousins, they think that he will be a gamechanger, and would just build around him instead.
Yeah, so either they'd rather spend their chips on Cousins instead of Bosh, or they think they can grab both. But it makes no sense to trade chips to get Cousins, and then flip him.

I actually think Houston might be interested in Greg Monroe. Maybe, it's just me, but I don't know if there's a better fit in this draft for a Rick Adelman coached-team than Monroe with his kind of skill set. Monroe, while known to be a bit soft, is very skilled. He's 6'11'', very long, with good size...seems like a fit.

With that said, the draft rights of that pick could be coming to the Raptors in a S&T for Bosh. And in that case, I'd lean towards Houston moving up to take either Cousins or Favors.

^--- The draft occurs before free agency, no? So in that case, it wouldn't be "draft rights" traded...it would be a player under contract.

Unfortunate...he derails threads with BS and stupidity, and then runs away when you call him on it.

Yes, but it was strangely entertaining. The board has gotten more "boring" without his uneducated, trolling posts to bash.
