Without Baynes as tank commander, we may run into some issues here.

If we dont finish with one of 5 worst records, I think Masai should be fired. Getting to the playoffs as 7th or 8th seed is the worst thing that can happen to this franchise.

How is that clown talk we need talent beating a trash sac kings team doesn't say much. Craptors fans want to get destroyed in the playoffs by tatum or durant and continue drafting bums like og aintnobody. We need someone that can get Toronto rocking, someone that can score at will and when we go on droughts.

This team will start beating on the weaker teams in the league. Too well coached and solid scheme-wise. I'm hoping we somehow land top 5 but realistically it would need a Lowry trade AND injuries to get there.

Calling for the best prez in the association to get canned if the team isn't bottom 5 is clown talk as is complaining about a very satisfying win.

Re: Tank World Order
If we lose to the Warriors then the tank is back on track. If we beat the warriors we’ll have a problem because then we’ll be showing signs of a team that beats up on bad teams and stays mediocre.

Anything can happen. We just need to get cold from deep and we have a chance in every game. That's all you can realistically hope for.

Yeah that just screams false hope treadmill and a first round exit as a 7-8 team.
Plus the more we flirt with .500 the less likely masai is to make a big move

A swap is not giving up a pick. You still get a pick, it's just not as good a pick as yours was. Swaps aren't guaranteed to happen, the Magic could have the better pick anyways. And STILL no one has answered whether or not they think they could get the trade I mentioned done but for less picks. People here wanted Bradley Beal, he couldn't even do that.
• When we are a lotto because our best player (Lowry) either already left or is 37 and 39 years old when the pick swaps begin to happen, I'd rather be in control of my own picks
• How much more valuable is 30 year old Vucevic versus 27 year old Serge Ibaka when we traded for him? Considering Ross for Powell is wash both in talent and contract at the time... Do you really think Vucevic is worth an additional Two Unprotected picks, plus Two Pick swaps over what we gave for Serge?![]()
• I don't want a deal done for Vucevic, so I don't really care what draft assets it would take to get done... You're using examples like Bucks/LAC to rationalize an outlandish valuation. Meanwhile, those trades were basically made under duress for external reasons (Giannis/Leonard), and even then, many people felt that LAC/MIL got ripped off in those deals.
• Earlier you made reference that those who have won a ring don't ring chase in relation to Lowry and the Raptors being aligned to stay together through to his retirement... From my experience, most players who have won a ring (especially those who have made their money) will tell you, after winning one, that is the ONLY thing that matters to them anymore. I'm not as confident as you are that Lowry and the Raptors are aligned.
• Finally, earlier you also generalized that all us Pro-Tankers/Asset-Building Mode members wanted a Harden trade... I Don't... In fact, I was Pro-Asset-Building mode as soon as last season was over and was only further cemented when both Ibaka & Gasol departed.
That's just what I think the market is. Like I've said already, everybody seems to want to pick a fight about my trade instead of just saying, 'I think the same trade can be had for less' if they really believe that. If enough people said that then I would reconsider what my view of current market values are. If I'm right about market valuation, whether you think it's outlandish or not, then the reality for NBA GMs is that 1st round picks are not as valuable as you and everyone else here thinks they are. Do you think we can turn Norman Powell, crap, two firsts and a second into an all-star? Can you guys in this thread not acknowledge the value of a player like Vucevic on the contract he is on? What would the trade have to be, centred around Norm, for you to be willing to upgrade our roster in this way? Vucevic is like Ibaka but smart, I thought Serge was our third best player last year and I think Vuc is a big upgrade over him. Especially since he would be paid only a few million more than what we just paid Serge.
If all your ask is to determine Vucevic's value... cool
Powell, TD, Baynes, Johnson, 1st Rd, & 2nd Rd... That is MY Limit for Vucevic if Lowry is 30 years old with a couple years on his contract
Now, this is what Orlando would want in approximate value to pull the trigger
Powell, TD, Baynes, McCaw, Two Firsts (1 Unprotected, 1 Protected)

Best thing we could do. Develop OG, Malachi, Harris, Davis, Boucher and give the keys to Fred. Take the pressure off Paskal to be the guy so he can be "creative". Retain Len for when we play the Giannis' and the Embiid's. Bayne's age means he likely moves on in the offseason.

I would be super pleased if we could get Vuc for either of those deals, although I would prefer to keep TD since I think we're going to get to re-sign him for a discount given that we didn't waive him the minute he was arrested and are the team that believed in him the most. If we can get him for 8 million a year from ages 25-29 it will be one of the best contracts of the decade mark my words.

be happy pascal, OG, and lowry increased their trade value, pick up some new fresh player and picks, and watch the tank plow forward

To me, the question is how we got there. Was it by playing Lowry, Fred and Pascal 40 mpg? Or by playing the yute (including Yuta) substantial minutes and them showing talent. If Flynn, Davis, Yuta and Boucher look consistently goo, and/or OG takes a big leap (unlikely), at least good enough to help us win a first round playoff series against the 3rd or 4th seeds, then I'm happy to let it all play out (while still trading Kyle at the deadline). Some damn good MVP calibre players have been drafted in the teens.

Celtics are losing tatum for 10-14 days due to quarantine.
There's been a whole lot of recent contact tracing going on and I'm honestly surprised us being in Florida has yet to encounter this yet
