man i love those exercises. staying balanced while shooting from different platforms opens up your scoring ability so much. excited to see how it translates with paolo because at his size he would be able to get a shot off anywhere, like KD.

i feel like a lot of nba fans don't realize that shooting starts from the feet up.

Given the amount of time and frequency these guys train, why aren't they improving more? Best players incorporate a clean face up game.

Natural talent and biomechanics plays a factor.

Giannis is one of the hardest workers ever in the league and he still can’t shoot.

But certainly shows who’s a potential go to scorer, which I don’t think Scottie really is that type of player. Remember Demar and Kyle were terrible in the team usa one on one drill and Jimmy Butler cooked everyone. But we all know Demar and Kyle were very good 5 on 5 players.

At least Kyle was.

Haha love that nickname, I'm fine with it but not so sure if NBA too sensitive with the word weapon with ja Morant lately and years ago taking away young gunz

Quite encouraging to see Barnes getting reps in his mid range game esp with the fadeaway shot, the release point is still a bit early for a fluid kobe-like fadeaway

Barnes' plus on defense is weak side help at the rim, not perimeter d that we thought coming out of the draft.

Lol
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

to be fair a 1v1 setting is much better for bagley - he has a decent bag in the mid range/post and he's adding a shot from 3. it's the 5v5 things he does poorly, he's a black hole and has no floor awareness on either end and his "decent bag" is nowhere near good enough to overcome this things.

scottie is almost the polar opposite and playing 5v5 plays more to his strengths.

I’ll assume it’s the same game but it’s from a slightly different perspective so I’ll take it on July 29th!

it's kinda funny.

Scottie was always compared to a boris diaw, draymond green type comparison

and it still looks that way
can we build a team around that type of player?

We declined a KD trade for a **** Diaw?

Why would we trade a few years of kd for many years of play-in championships with Scottie?

The hyperbole from Scottie's detractors is comical

Scottie still not playing smart on defense trying to body up on quicker players and getting blown by. He gives great effort on defense but he's gotta play smarter by giving quicker players a cushion while using his length to contest. It's so frustrating to watch non-NBAers literally blowing by him on defense.

You're taking fandom too seriously.

Most people here are probably only half serious, trolling or joking, both ways. You have those who speak as if Barnes is a stud in the making, while others will put in veiled attacks at Barnes in every post. He's probably somewhere in between what most think he will be and that's still fine. No one from his draft class has really wowed so far, and Barnes can still be the best in his class or not. If he's a top 2 or 3 player from that draft, the Raptors did excellent. I'll watch a team that sucks if they have young players who play fun basketball. That's really all I'm hoping for from a younger team without a selfish PG like FVV.

Barnes ball is an escape from the terrible basketball that was FVV/Siakam ball of last season and that's what most are happy about. The atmosphere in games and online having to watch the terrible basketball our two veterans ran was probably the worst team basketball during Masai's entire tenure.
