No, we started tanking way too late and we half assed it most times once we started. We could have easily finished 5th. I’ll take 7 but not totally happy with it.

We need bad drafting teams to go ahead of us in the lottery more than moving into the top 2-4

And the thunder maybe getting the 76ers pick. Just nuts.

That one a little less likely....But yeah thats what good organizations do....Win but still have draft picks to secure future success and trade assets.

13/16 current playoff teams have traded and wont have their 1st this year. Coming into the season you wouldn't have taken the PHO or PHI 1sts ahead of many of those. Lets just call it what it is - EXTREME luck. It would be like if Indiana ended up missing the playoffs after getting Siakam last year.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

So essentially 1 more SA win or 1 TOR loss and we lock up 7th?

Glad the board had that little freakout two weeks ago.

Looks like 7th is there for the taking but for me allowing the Sixers & Nets to fall below the Raptors is a black mark against Darko - 5th place should have been the Raptors to hold.

Unfortunately it just wasn’t going to happen with our schedule. Our schedule was comically easy.

And our young players were hurt..Gradey, Jakobe, Mogbo, Chomche, Battle. Who do you then play? It is what it is... let's pray for the lottery ball to fall in our favor. Atlanta moved from 10th to 1st last time.

Spurs beating Portland would be really good. Locks up 7th and helps our SRP which could still drop 4-5 spots right now given how closely bunched some teams are together there.

There was no realistic way to "tank better" with this schedule. The head to head games vs BRK and PHI saw to that. But people will complain always here.

I just want them to lose against BRK, or Spurs to win, and then they can actually play anyone they want the last 3 games.

Yes if you drop the Brooklyn game you can start all the starters for Charlotte last home game for fans. We did a Pathetic job and should have lost more road games since All Star game and then could have tried more at home for fans.

I, personally loved the hand wringing over Chicago and Miami, teams that "weren't going to win another game all year", and "we were definitely finishing ahead of".

The race with those teams was close with us being a mere 7.5 games back of them.

We won games by Walter desperation 3 hitting, Lawson going ham, etc...

Sometimes you can't control everything and Nothing short of shutting everyone down for months could have guaranteed more losses. As we saw, even playing 2-ways and gleaguers didn't stop us from winning games.

It "should" bode well for us in the future...lots of guys got more playing time than expected. And our defensive identity was hatched.

Everyone making excuses for a team that clearly was unprepared to commit to a tank 100%. Many other teams did have that conviction though and were rewarded with a higher position. Now its up to blind luck. Half measures.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Dont worry, we have the highest chance for our pick to move back to 8th, than getting into the top 4. I've accepted the 8th pick in order not to feel anymore disappointed.

We're going to pick up a project in Maluach, because of the possible upside and hope he pans out.

This is basically scripted.

lol don't bother, we could have always lost more games by sitting more players out and having Darko sabotage harder, so you're never going to win any argument against tWo who thinks we should have lost every game possible the entire year.

And those other teams have not proven that it makes a difference.
