Thats the kind of culture we a living in. Even the official NBA 'analysts' on TNT and ESPN spend half their time trashing players as terrible instead of highlighting all the greatness of the series.

TNT were pretty good postgame. Kenny said we were one defensive stop or a made basket from advancing, said it was a great season.

Shaq said Siakam needs to change his mindset to truly be that star player.

Charles said he loved Lowry’s heart and also agreed that Siakam needs to play with more confidence. Charles said it was evident that we lacked that go to guy which we had last year.

He’s right, with Kawhi this run would have been a cake walk.

Charles also said he’s interested to see how our offseason goes because he doesn’t believe we’re going to pay all our guys to come back. Said he wants to see if we can attract some free agents.

This year was fun! Let's face it, we were never going to realistically challenge for a championship. No more sleepless nights for me, so that's a plus. :D

If Siakam continued to play this garbage then it wasn’t realistic. But if he for some reason picked back up his play I think we could have beaten the Lakers.

On one hand you'll always have a soft spot for Siakam and Nurse for winning a championship but now you have this
debacle of a series against the city we despise the most it's like losing to the devil.

I see it as almost the opposite. Siakam was playing awful and the Celtics were immediately considered to sweep after game 1. Then Lowry happened and the Cs constantly showed the yips over the rest of the games. We gutted them twice and Tatum kept choking down the stretch.

If anything, this series absolutely rattled them and exposed that they're still flawed and are missing something (and it's not Hayward).

Oh they’re definitely frauds let’s not get it wrong. Gasol was giving us nothing. Siakam was garbage. Fred was also bad, Lowry was inconsistent, Norm didn’t play good until game 6.

OG and Ibaka were the only decent players and even OG had a down game in game 7.

Despite ALL that it was a one possession game in the last 50 seconds. Not even gonna go into how a 29 percent three point shooter in Smart turned into steph curry for half the games. He’s not doing that again. lol

It's not so much the players outside of Smart now... It's the Celtics franchise and the city of Boston

Everyone hating need to grow a pair. Whatever happen to it being a relax year? The NBA returning this season is already F'ed up in the 1st place. Yes we could of beaten the Celtics easily had the pandemic didn't happen which Home court and their fans actually matter. If you were saying we lost in a sweep as the Champion then you can be mad all you want but we took Boston to a Game 7 with a Broken All-Star. What does it say about our team: WE HAVE GRIT!!!!!! No matter how the team look next year we will come back way stronger and so will Pascal as the 2nd option.

Siakam postgame said he gets better every offseason and that he’s not going to feel sorry for himself and instead use the experience as a learning tool. Said all the greats go through tough times and that he wants to be a great player in the league.

He does get better every offseason. So I hope he means what he says.

would've been fine losing if the celtics played well, but we beat ourselves. just dumb. bad rotations/lineups, poor execution, very sloppy and just dumb play all-around.

not the team i enjoyed watching all season.

def hope masai retools and doesn't give these guys big contracts. think i'm done with fred in toronto, same with marc. keep serge

pascal can go too, but i doubt anyone wants his contract.

masai got some work to do. we're a long way from contending

Pretty much this... I've never come out of a playoff series in any sport where I felt we beat ourselves instead
of just knowing the opponent was the better team.

It's such a bad/weird feeling that you beat yourselves by bad coaching and one of your All-Stars looking like they
belong in the D-League.

I'm sure Nurse is gonna rewatch this series and make the classic Nurse face and be like man what was I thinking
during this series?

I didn't come out of this series liking Tatum or Jaylen Brown anymore then I did coming into this series. I mean
they're ok but I don't think they're great players or scary guys to fear going forward.

Also the game 1 debacle really leaves a bad taste in my mouth how do you play with zero urgency and no respect
for the Celtics after they were the only team to beat you in the bubble and beat you on X-Mas??

I felt like we would've beaten Miami for sure and been in the Finals again but this series loss was just really really
bad on our part and not what I would've expected with this team.

We had a great season... nurse was outstanding getting the team to overplay based on the talent... but he totally overplayed gasol and that cost them the series.... ibaka should have started ....

It doesn’t make sense moving Siakam. Simply does not. Unless you want to tank. Because like it or not he’s our best player when he actually is playing at his best.

Now does he have a track record of choking in the playoffs? I guess this series. But I also think he has shown signs of being extremely clutch as well (game 1 vs the warriors, hitting essentially the floater that won us the championship in game 6).

This was his first time being the number one option. Let’s see how he comes back next season.

What gets me choked, is that Boston was just not ready, we had this game and couldn't stop getting in our own way. Celtics had major jitters man, and I don't think the raptors were rattled at all. Just kept making careless mistakes man.

Awesome. That's a great first step for him to take. Super glad Lowry is on the team because as already referenced, he and Derozan went through the same shell shock against the Wizards and Nets early on.

Hold the fort, add a deck, invite Giannis over to the BBQ in 2021 8-)

The game was surreal to the point where I am honestly convinced that at least a player and/or coach was asked for the sake of the league to chuck the series away. I went over this so many times and you could not pay a player to be as bad or throw so many balls into the other teams hands. I think at that level, it's impossible, and double impossible for a coach to not see it and stop it.

So, in my mind we did the League a Solid (Lets face it, they will make a lot more money if the Celts go all the way). This team could have beat this terrible Boston team with ease tonight (They played horrible) just by taking Pascal off the floor. C YA. Fixed outcomes sting like a MFr
