If we trade for Giannis, we're building with Giannis, Ingram and ughh RJ? LOL It will be a worse Bucks team

Ya I don't think we'll get him sadly. And tbh that's fine, we aren't there yet.

Those are obvious teams that a trade would make sense with. But this does not mean he can't be traded to a different team entirely.

The issue is why would Giannis leave Bucks to Toronto. Wont have enough assets or a clean cap sheet after the trade is completed. Unless Ingram gets much better this offseason he would not be a strong #2 to cover the rest of the roster. They would be a slightly worse Knicks team at best just cause I trust Knicks 3-6th rotation player more.

funny enough, Pacers is a great spot for Giannis. Elite passer in Haliburton, lots of good role-players and they play in transition. Swapping him for Pascal and you have a legit contender for the title. I think Giannis needs to play with a elite playmaker/half court player at this point in his career and as he gets older (esp for playoffs).

We don't need him. We'll have 19 year-old Flagg and 23 year-old Scottie to build around.

If OKC don't win the title this year, he'll be playing in OKC next year. Nobody can match their offer. If OKC isn't interested, then it'll be Houston, although the roster that'll be left over after any trade won't be a.contender. He'll basically just be replacing Dame for Fred. Although Ime is a huge upgrade over Doc.

Darkhorse is LAL if Silver isn't happy with the ratings in these playoffs.

Ofc Giannis makes a lot of sense on Pacers, but you gave no reason why Bucks would want Siakam.

I'd rather not gut the team for a dude talking about tax free states instead of winning chips.

Yea, this was more of a joke on how Giannis has a "beef" with Pacers.. and also they don't have enough asset to trade for him anymore. They don't enough valuable picks.

I just wanted to highlight how Pacers play so much to his strengths and cover his weakness as an offensive player.

People here obviously forget that back when Masai cleared cap space to sign Giannis he didn't even get a rumour of interest at all let alone a meeting. Giannis hired financial analysts to maximize the money he could make and discovered that even signing with a team in a no state tax location wasn't enough to offset what he'd make on the supermax Milwaukee could offer. He really is a guy who wants every last dollar and if he leaves Milwaukee it will be for a no state tax team because that's the only way he can make more money than he does now. Toronto is the last place he would go as we have some of the highest taxes of any team in the league and no compelling narrative as to how we could put a winner around him for the remainder of his NBA career.

And this right here rules the Raps out.

And personally, I think that's OK. We are just starting the build upwards and ate going to take a nice jump next year...but not to contender status. And with Giannis having a 2+PO deal in place, he wants to be able to win next year.

Hopefully Masai can get his nose into the talks league wide and finally an undervalued trade that pushes the Raps even further upwards next year.

I keep wondering if that's one reason he signed Lawson and Castleton so he could trade them as cap filler this offseason if needed.

Only team that checks all the boxes of Superstar Teammate to ease the burden, No State Income Taxes and assets to make it happen is the Spurs

He’ll end up a Spur.

Him & Wemby is exactly the type of move that both fits Giannis and the league.
>>>THENOTORIOUSBI3<<< :guitar: *INGRAM*ALLSTARSEASON* Wemby is HIM - Top 5 Player this year

Toronto enters the offseason with limited flexibility outside of their first-round pick.

But then they immediately follow it up with this...

The Raptors have their own first-round pick in every draft through 2032 and are allowed to trade up to five first-round picks, including their lottery pick in June. Toronto has seven future second-round picks available.

We don't have the best package to offer, that's for sure, but we absolutely do have flexibility.
