How would you describe Raptors RGM forum in one sentence?

First time with this FO in the draft.

I expect a good track record from Masai, Tolzman and Weltman

Hope everyone is aware that this trade cannot be agreed upon until after the draft because Memphis traded it's 2013 pick. Also we would be giving up the 37, not the 59. The player you get at 37 could easily be as good as the guy at 22. Don't like the trade unless it's for the 59.

It would be awesome if we were able to somehow exchange the 59th pick instead of the 37th. I know its a long shot, but the deal hasn't reached its final terms yet and Masai is a wizard, afterall.

That's a stupid point. That's like saying in any draft where a second rounder became a star that the pick at 40 could be as good as the pick at #1. Of course that is possible, but the likelihood of getting a good player at 22 is much higher than at 37. Don't shoot down the blimp because being a fan of this team has taken away the sense in you.

Sure, I get what you're saying but the difference is that Masai is targeting certain players who he thinks will be successful on this team. If he was looking just for some players that could possibly pan out then there would be no reason for this trade.

I bet if you looked through the past 10 years, there's far more starters being picked between 22-36 then being picked at 37 and after.

Too much "what if's". Lowry is the biggest piece to the puzzle.

Do you see how replacing Lowry/Vasquez with Ennis makes us a worse team though? Masai better have some plans for free agency. That's all I'm saying.

Oh for sure losing Lowry and replacing him with Ennis makes us a worst team. But I also don't believe Massai was satisfied with out team. Even with the playoffs. He said plenty of times we've overachieved. I see a lot of moves in the foreseeable future.

Well, next year we got Fields,Hayes,Prince,Amir coming off the books. All the cap space at once, instead of making a cap crushing move this season with space from Salmon's deal (Ariza).

This draft is so deep that the guys from 20-40 are all near equal level prospects. That was my point, relax fellas and enjoy the draft!

Good thing you're not running the team.

No chance at Ennis at 37.

I'd fap so much if this happened. One of my fave players in the draft.

Would also be a great PR move plus he's so smooth with his shot. I also love his confidence/cockiness.

No that's not the case. It's more like up to 40 you can find a guy who can contribute right away.

I'll allow this. Carry on.

Can people stop talking about expiring contracts like they're this rare and valuable thing already? EVERY single contract in the NBA expires at some point. They WERE useful, maybe 2-6 years ago. It's a totally different CBA landscape now, much shorter contracts, teams have mostly already made adjustments to the tax.

That's your opinion. Mine is different and this why I said I don't like the deal as structured. I am entitled to my own opinions as is anyone that posts here. Sorry you don't agree but I don't give a F.

The trade can be official literally as soon as the Grizz make the selection. They don't have to wait til pick 60 is made.

I don't think this is true. From what I understand, the Sepien Rule (?) works looking to the future, and not in regards to the past. In other words, as long as Memphis still has their 2015 first round pick, then they can go ahead today and trade their 2014 pick.

I could be wrong, but I think this issue was brought up in regards to the Asik trade a couple of days ago.

I think Andrea Bargnani is a better basketball player than Lebron James, but that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it and nothing you can say can show me that I'm wrong.

Where are you getting this info about 20-40 from? Reading up on it, draft express, nba.com, espn, NBA TV. From my understanding they say, the talent at the top is really good, but picks about 10-25 are very hard to decipher, but after 25-40 you will still get a player who will contribute on your team next season (if they are not stashed away of course in Europe).

You're making up this 20-40 = same level of prospects crap. 22=higher chance of landing a better propsect than 37, and there is no logical argument otherwise.

Why are people so attached to the 37th pick?
