What's wrong with our current unis that are so neutral they don't put off anyone? This new logo is just plain ugly, and obviously the majority thinks so. They're ruining a good thing (i.e. the existing claw logo, which is awesome).

They're making the same mistake the Jays made years ago by introducing the toothpaste logo. It only took them 10 years (and plenty of interim logos besides) to realize their mistake and revert to the original.

I would have settled for almost anything, but it just bugs me that it's so obvious to everyone it looks like Brooklyn's. They could have stuck a picture of Bosh's head on our logo and it would have been less annoying.

It needs to be redesigned to a more modern style. Bring back the purple, re-design the cartoon dino to a more modern look like the Blue Jays did.

- More silver but still red and white
- A more ferocious design which may incorporate claw mark shreds in a creative way
- A sleeved third jersey

So, no black and gold unless they're swapping out the silver for gold at Drake's (or his design team's) urging.

I shared this more than a year ago based on a conversation I had with somebody who had seen early mock-ups. I have no idea if the design we saw today is very close to what the mock back then was but the "claw mark shreds" and heavier emphasis on silver definitely were spot on. The black/gold influence definitely seems like it came from Drake and I acknowledged that his popularity and the sale of his clothing on Ebay after the first Drake Night might push more colorways, which looks to be the case.

Maybe so....but if Drake is irrelevant in a few years and we have a gold logo, nobody will laugh. The dinosaur was a bad idea because it was a cartoon logo. This new logo can remain since it's really a shield as they describe. It's clean and that's all we want....they're not changing the name of the team so you have to have something dinosaur related....this is a great logo.

1) social media is absolutely killing this logo.. for every person that likes it, another 5 hate it... not to mention how embarrassingly similar it is to the nets logo.

2) most fans were hoping/praying for purple.. so any logo without it would've been immediately dismissed. I see why MLSE didn't choose purple but the fans are craving for it and have been for a long time.

The Jays logo is all nostalgic. Which is why we are used to it....otherwise it's an awkward Blue Jay with a ginormous Canadian flag and two different font styles...but hey, we won two world series titles with that logo (or something similar) so yay.

I highly disagree. The current trend in culture is towards minimalism. This logo/design fits in that minimalistic category. Especially considering the gold pattern isn't in the NBA at the moment, at Drake's influence on those specific colours, it will be among the most popular brands in the league.

I've personally asked a bunch of my friends (casual fans) if they like the logo, they all liked it.

The Raptors movement with the new colour scheme/brand doesnt cater to the older Realgm demogrpahic.
