Why would the Pacers go for it? They are one game better than us. Haliburton can't be your best player if you expect to compete for championships.
He’s been a top-15 player in the NBA this year (by impact, anyway) and he’s 22.
Maybe he’s peaked, but I think he’s got a reasonable chance to keep improving and, ultimately, be good enough to be the best player on a championship team.
He's a great player, no doubt. But he's not a player that can lead a team to a championship. He's not good enough. He can be an excellent #2 though.
Lebron, KD, Curry, Dirk, Giannis, Kobe, Kawhi. Those are the players that have won championships in the past 10-15 years.
